A heat transfer tube as a first refrigerant pipe has a first portion, a first expansion portion, a second portion, a second expansion portion, and a third portion arranged in order. A connecting tube as a second refrigerant pipe has a fourth portion facing the second portion and a fifth portion facing the third portion. The connecting tube is inserted into the heat transfer tube. The inner diameter of the second portion is larger than the inner diameter of the first portion, and the inner diameter of the third portion is larger than the inner diameter of the second portion. The outer diameter of the fifth portion is larger than the outer diameter of the fourth portion. The fifth portion and the third portion are brazed.

Pipe coupling structure and refrigeration cycle apparatus

A heat exchanger includes a pipe made of aluminum, a thermistor, and an attaching portion with which the thermistor is attached to the pipe. The pipe carries a flow of refrigerant. The thermistor detects a temperature of the refrigerant. The pipe includes a sacrificial layer provided on a part of a surface of the pipe. The sacrificial layer is lower in potential than the aluminum of the pipe. The attaching portion is higher in potential than the sacrificial layer. At least one part of the attaching portion is attached to the surface of the pipe where the sacrificial layer is not provided. The attaching portion includes a brazed portion that is higher in potential than the sacrificial layer. The thermistor is attached to the pipe with the brazed portion.

Heat exchanger, indoor unit for air-conditioner, and refrigeration device

A heat exchanger exchanges heat between refrigerant flowing inside and air flowing outside. The heat exchanger includes: an upstream-side flat tube; downstream-side flat tubes on a downstream side of the upstream-side flat tube in a direction of air flow; and a space formation member that defines a distribution space in which the refrigerant coming out of the upstream-side flat tube is distributed to the downstream-side flat tubes.

Heat exchanger and air conditioner

A heat exchanger unit includes: a first heat exchanger including a first header, a second header, and a first flat pipe group that includes first flat multi-hole pipes connected to each of the first header and the second header; and a second heat exchanger: disposed in parallel with the first heat exchanger on an air downstream side, from the first heat exchanger, of air flow generated by a fan; and including a third header, a fourth header, and a second flat pipe group that includes second flat multi-hole pipes connected to each of the third header and the fourth header. The fourth header causes a refrigerant that flows in from the third header to flow out to the first header.

A heat exchanger including: rows of heat exchanging units that are superposed with one another in an air flow direction of the heat exchanger; and flat multi-hole tubes that extend from a first end toward a second of the heat exchanging units in a first direction in the heat exchanging units and that include gas-side flat multi-hole tubes. A refrigerant flows in the heat exchanging unit in the first direction. A number of the gas-side flat multi-hole tubes that are included in a front-most row heat exchanging unit on an airflow upstream side of the heat exchanger is less than a number of the gas-side flat multi-hole tubes included in a rear-most row heat exchanging unit on an airflow downstream side of the heat exchanger.

Heat exchanger and refrigeration apparatus

To improve the heat exchange efficiency of a heat exchanger that includes an upstream heat exchange unit and a downstream heat exchange unit. When the heat exchanger functions as an evaporator, a gas outlet pipe is an upstream refrigerant outlet that is located adjacent to the other end of upstream flat pipes of the upstream heat exchange unit, and a gas outlet pipe is a downstream refrigerant outlet that is located adjacent to the other end of downstream flat pipes of the downstream heat exchange unit. First resistance to refrigerant flow in the upstream heat exchange unit and second resistance to refrigerant flow in the downstream heat exchange unit are adjusted in order that the degree of superheating of refrigerant at the downstream refrigerant outlet is smaller than the degree of superheating of refrigerant at the upstream refrigerant outlet.

Heat exchanger having first and second heat exchange units with different refrigerant flow resistances and refrigeration apparatus

A heat exchanger in which a refrigerant and air flow exchange heat includes a first heat-exchanging unit. The first heat-exchanging unit includes: a first header including a first gas refrigerant inlet/outlet; a second header including a first liquid refrigerant inlet/outlet; a plurality of first flat tubes disposed side by side in a longitudinal direction of the first header and the second header; and a first communication path formation portion that is connected to the first header and the second header and that forms a first communication path.

A heat exchanger in which a refrigerant that flows in from a first inlet and a second inlet exchanges heat with air flow and flows out from an outlet includes: an upwind heat-exchanging unit; a downwind heat-exchanging unit that includes the second inlet and is disposed beside the upwind heat-exchanging unit on a downwind side of the upwind heat-exchanging unit; and a flow path formation portion that includes a refrigerant flow path between the upwind heat-exchanging unit and the downwind heat-exchanging unit.

A heat exchanger includes: multiple flat tubes that extend in a second direction intersecting a first direction which is an air flow direction and that are disposed at intervals in a third direction that intersects the first direction and the second direction; and multiple plate-like heat transfer fins that extend along the third direction and that are disposed at intervals along the second direction. The heat exchanger causes refrigerant in the flat tubes to exchange heat with the air flow that passes through heat exchange spaces formed by adjacent flat tubes and adjacent heat transfer fins when viewed from the first direction. The heat transfer fins each have a heat transfer fin front side surface that is one main surface, a heat transfer fin back side surface that is the other main surface.
