A dynamic damper in which the inner diameter (D) of a first hole part formed at the axial one end part of a body part overlapped with a weight part in the radial direction is set smaller than the inner diameter (D) of a second hole part formed at the axial other end part of the body part not overlapped with the weight part in the radial direction and tightened with a band member (D&#x3e;D). The outer diameter (D) of a drive shaft to be press-fitted into the first and second hole parts is set larger than the inner diameter (D) of the first hole part and the inner diameter (D) of the second hole part (D&#x3e;D&#x3e;D).

Dynamic damper

A constant velocity joint, wherein all of those rolling elements excluding a plurality of rolling elements are divided into a plurality of rolling element groups and arranged along the inner diameter part of a roller member. The excluded plurality of rolling elements are dispersed in first to third cam grooves at intervals in the circumferential direction. When the rolling elements are pressed in the radial outer direction by the first to third pressing faces of a cam rotating in the arrow A direction, they are simultaneously press-fitted into first to third clearances between the rolling elements from the side of the inner diameter part of the roller member.

Constant velocity joint and method of manufacturing the same

An annular member is installed on a circular cylinder section of a trunnion, and a roller member, in the inner periphery of which a needle bearing is held, is installed on the circular cylinder section. The needle bearing is held between a flange section formed on one end of the roller member and the annular member installed on the trunnion with a predetermined gap between them. Further, a gap (X) between the needle bearing and the annular member is set to satisfy the following relationship. X&#x3e;R/2&#xb7;(1/cos &#x3b8; max&#x2212;1) where R: Radius of rotation of the center of the roller member relative to the center axis of an outer member. &#x3b8; max: Maximum inclination angle of an inner member.

Constant velocity joint

Lateral cross-sections of first guiding grooves provided in the inner wall surface of an outer cup are formed in a circular arc shape for one point contact with balls, and lateral cross-sections of second guiding grooves provided in the outer wall surface of an inner ring are formed in an elliptic arc shape for two-point contact with the balls. The diameter of a ball and an offset amount between a first and a second groove is set to satisfy the expression of 0.12&#x2266;V&#x2266;0.14 with V being the ratio of the two values.

A constant velocity joint, wherein all rolling elements annularly held by a tool are inserted into an inner diameter part from one end opposite to the flange part of a roller member along the axis of the inner diameter part of the roller member or the rolling elements remaining after one rolling element is removed from all rolling elements are charged into the inner diameter part and the removed one rolling element is inserted into a clearance between the rolling elements from the other end along the axis of the inner diameter part. After all rolling elements are fitted into the inner diameter part of the rolling member, a snap ring is fitted into an annular groove formed at the end part of the inner diameter part on the opposite side of the flange part to hold the rolling elements between the flange part and the snap ring.

A variety of cutout surfaces are formed on trunnions by cutting out parts of a spherical surface of each of the trunnions, to which no torque is applied. The cutout surfaces comprise a pair of opposite flat surface sections, bores, recesses or wide flat surfaces, and curved surface sections, for example.

Constant velocity universal joint

A constant velocity universal joint includes an inner roller and a trunnion. The inner roller has a chamfered portion formed by an inclined surface inclined at an angle not less than an assembling angle &thgr;. The inclined surface extends from a starting point defined by a crossing point of a spherical recess of the inner roller and a short radius r of an elliptic cutout formed on the inner roller.

A constant velocity universal joint comprises trunnions each of which expands toward a guide groove and each of which is provided with a spherical surface along a circumferential direction, inner rollers each of which has a recess having a spherical surface formed on an inner circumferential surface to make surface-to-surface contact corresponding to the spherical surface, and outer rollers each of which is externally fitted to the inner roller via needle bearings and each of which is provided relatively displaceably with respect to the inner roller along an axial direction (direction of the arrow B) of the trunnion.

Constant velocity universal joint and method for assembling the same

A constant velocity universal joint having a guide groove with a plane section and a rolling surface, an outer roller having an outer circumferential surface formed to have a linear cross section corresponding to the rolling surface and being displaceable along the rolling surface, a holder having an upper end formed to be capable of abutting against or being separated from the plane section, an expanded section having a curved and/or flat configuration and protruding toward a trunnion, and a curved section for making point-to-point contact with the expanded section.

A constant velocity universal joint includes a plurality of trunnions formed to have a spherical configuration and expanding toward guide grooves, cylindrical holders for surrounding the trunnions, to which roller members displaceable along said guide grooves are externally fitted, and cutouts formed on surfaces of the trunnions.
