An uninterruptible power system and an operation method thereof are provided. The uninterruptible power system comprises a DC-AC conversion circuit, a plurality of switches, a plurality of sensing units, a plurality of output ports and a control unit. Each output port is electrically coupled to an output terminal of the DC-AC conversion circuit sequentially through one of the sensing units and one of the switches. The control unit is configured to define members of at least one group from the output ports according to a system setting, and define which members of each group are non-critical output ports according to the system setting. The control unit is further configured to set, according to the system setting, at least one condition for all non-critical output ports in each group to simultaneously stop supplying power, and to accordingly control the operations of the corresponding switches.

Uninterruptible power system and operation method thereof

An off-line uninterruptible power system and two line-interactive uninterruptible power systems are provided. The off-line uninterruptible power system and one of the line-interactive uninterruptible power systems additionally adopt a transformer for supplying an AC output, with lower voltage level than a rated output voltage, to at least one electrical device (especially those with resistive load characteristic). The other line-interactive uninterruptible power system controls its automatic voltage regulating circuit to supply an AC output, with lower voltage level than a rated output voltage, to at least one electrical device (especially those with resistive load characteristic).

A power supplying device comprising a battery, a charging circuit and a DC-AC conversion circuit is provided. The charging circuit is electrically coupled to an AC power source and configured to charge the battery. The DC-AC conversion circuit is electrically coupled to the battery and configured to supply an AC output. When the power supplying device is powered on, both of the charging circuit and the DC-AC conversion circuit are enabled.

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system with energy feedback to chargers and sinusoidal output charges a battery pack through a first charger under a mains mode. Under a battery mode, the UPS boosts DC voltage outputted from the battery pack to a higher voltage level through a DC-to-DC conversion module, converts the DC voltage to a sinusoidal AC voltage through a DC-to-AC conversion module, and supplies the sinusoidal AC voltage to a load. When the load has energy storage elements and discharged energy occurs in a power supply loop, a micro-controller unit can control the discharged power to charge the battery pack through a second charger, thereby solving the issue of the discharged power from the energy storage elements of the load and enhancing the operational efficiency of the UPS.

An uninterruptible power supply supporting active loads includes a charge and discharge module having a battery set and a charger charging the battery set with an input power, a switch circuit having at least two active switches connected to the battery set, a dynamic PWM control module connected with each of the active switches of the switch circuit, alternately outputting duty cycles composed of low-frequency square wave and high-frequency square wave and alternately controlling each of the active switches to turn on or off, and a transformer having a primary side connected with the switch circuit and a secondary side whose two terminals are connected with an output capacitor generating a filtering function in collaboration with an leakage inductor in the secondary side of the transformer. The uninterruptible power supply generates a quasi-continuous output satisfying the hold-up time demanded by an active load.

A power-saving line interactive UPS has a power switch set, a low-frequency transformer, a full-bridge circuit, a main controller, a charge and discharge mode controller, a rechargeable battery and a high-frequency charging circuit. The high-frequency circuit is connected between an AC power input terminal and the rechargeable battery to convert the AC power into a DC power and charge the rechargeable battery. Therefore, when the AC power is normally supplied and the power capacity of the rechargeable battery is not full, the high-frequency charging circuit is activated to charge the rechargeable battery without charging the rechargeable battery through the low-frequency transformer and the full-bridge switching circuit, thereby effectively reducing overall power consumption.

A cable clamp has a body, at least one front binding hole, at least one rear binding hole, multiple front connecting elements, multiple rear connecting elements, a first lateral connecting element and a second lateral connecting element. The front and the rear connecting elements are formed on the body, and the rear connecting elements correspond respectively to the front connecting elements. The first lateral and the second lateral connecting elements are formed on the body, and the second lateral connecting element corresponds to the first lateral connecting element. Each cable clamp is capable of attaching to another cable clamp rather with connecting the front connecting element of the cable clamp to the rear connecting element of another cable clamp or with connecting the second lateral connecting element of the cable clamp to the first lateral connecting element of another cable clamp.

A controlling method of a battery mode of a UPS for an active PFC power supply has the following acts of monitoring the AC power source and determining whether the AC power source is terminated or not, wherein if a determining result is positive, the controlling method proceeds to next act, and switching to the battery mode and converting a DC power source of a battery to a square wave. The square wave has a period, and each half of the period is alternately constituted by at least two ON times and at least two OFF times, and each of the at least two OFF times is equal to or less than a hold-up time of the active PFC load having a hold-up time circuit. Therefore, the voltage of the bulk capacitor of the active PFC power supply under a discharge condition is not lower than the low threshold voltage, since the OFF time of the square wave signal will be kept equal to or less than the hold-up time.

Controlling method of a battery mode of a uninterruptible power supply for an active power factor corrected load

The power saving uninterruptible power supply (UPS) has a first and second switches, an energy spared switch, a transformer, an automatic voltage regulator (AVR), a charger-and-inverter, a normal mode determination unit and an electric switch. When the utility power is stable, the first and second switches are connected together to supply the utility power to a load. At the time, the energy spared switch is physically disconnected with the utility power and the transformer and the AVR. Therefore, the transformer and AVR do not consume more energy of the utility power and the transforming efficiency of the UPS is increased.

A voltage regulating circuit has a first switch, a transformer and a second switch. The first switch has an input node, a first node and a second node. The transformer is connected to the switches has a first coil and a second coil. The first coil and the second coil respectively have an end, and the second coil is connected to the first coil in series at a node. The node between the first and second coils is connected to the second node of the first switch. The second switch is connected to the transformer and has a first node, a second node and an output node. The first node is connected to the end of the first coil. The second node is connected to the first node of the first switch. The transformer will not heat up when the transformer needs not to be used.
