A transceiver for radio-frequency identification (RFID) is provided. The transceiver includes a transmitter, a receiver and a noise canceller. The transmitter transmits a carrier signal to an antenna. The receiver receives a wireless signal from the antenna. The noise canceller generates a feedback current according to a part of the carrier signal, and feeds the feedback current to an input of the receiver to cancel noises in the wireless signal. Further, the noise canceller adjusts the feedback current according to the signal strength of the noises in the wireless signal.

Transceiver and noise cancellation method for radio-frequency identification

An amplifier for wireless receivers and an associated method is provided. The amplifier provides an output signal to an output terminal in response to an input signal received from an input terminal, and further includes a first block and a second block. The first block is coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal, and includes a gain control terminal and a first transistor. The gain control terminal is coupled to a gain control signal, while the gain control signal is provided such that the first transistor is kept operating in a triode region, and a gain of the output signal over the input signal can be seamlessly tuned in response to the gain control signal.

Amplifier for wireless receiver and associated method

A fingerprint sensing circuit for detecting a fingerprint of a user, including a signal source, at least a sensing unit, a resistor, an electrode, and a detecting circuit. The signal source provides a reference signal. The electrode is coupled to a reference level. The sensing unit generates a sensed value according to the electrode and the fingerprint of the user. The resistor is coupled between the signal source and the output node. The detecting circuit is coupled to the output node. The resistor, the sensing unit, and the electrode constitute a filter circuit to the signal source. At least a first signal is generated to the output node according to the reference signal and the sensed value, and the detecting circuit detects the first signal to generate a corresponding detected result indicative of the fingerprint.

A portable electronic apparatus with NFC application and the method of operating the portable electronic apparatus are disclosed. The portable electronic apparatus includes an application module, an active NFC device, a passive NFC device, and a power supply unit. The application module is utilized for performing a main function of the portable electronic apparatus. The active NFC device which is coupled to the application module is utilized for communicating with an NFC device outside the portable electronic apparatus. The passive NFC device is utilized for communicating with an NFC device outside the portable electronic apparatus. The power supply unit which is coupled to the application module and the active NFC device is utilized for powering the application module and the active NFC device.

Portable electronic apparatus with near field communication (NFC) application and method of operating the portable electronic apparatus

A method and an apparatus utilizing the RFID technology for the login security of a computing device are disclosed. The computing device includes a processing unit, an RFID reader, and a memory. The RFID reader is coupled to the processing unit for communicating with an external RFID tag in which a user data is stored. The memory is coupled to the processing unit for storing a login data. The RFID reader reads the user data from the RFID tag and the processing unit compares the user data with the login data. If the user data matches the login data, the processing unit allows the computing device to be accessed.

Method and apparatus for computer login security using RFID technology

A frequency switching method is used to make switching among a plurality of frequency signal sources each providing a specific frequency range covering multiple bands. The method includes steps of providing a target frequency data; selecting one of the frequency signal sources to output a first clock signal; generating a first frequency data according to the clock signal of the first frequency to compare with the target frequency data; outputting a second clock signal with the highest band of another one of the frequency signal sources possessing a frequency range higher than that of the selected frequency signal source when the target frequency data is greater than the first frequency data; and outputting the second clock signal with the lowest band of the selected frequency signal source when the target frequency data is smaller than the first frequency data.
