A display system including at least one pixel is disclosed. The pixel includes a switching unit and a controlling unit. The switching unit controls a level of a first node. The controlling unit controls a level of a second node. During a first period, the level of the first node equals to a first reference level and the level of the second node equals to a second reference level. During a second period, the level of the first node equals to a third reference level and the voltage difference between the first and the second nodes equals to a threshold voltage of a driving unit. During a third period, the level of the first node equals to a data signal. During a fourth period, the driving unit lights a luminescence unit according to the voltage difference between the first and the second nodes.

Display system

A pixel structure including a first switching transistor, a setting unit, a capacitor, a driving transistor, a second switching transistor and a luminous element is disclosed. The capacitor is coupled between a first and a second node. The first switching transistor transmits a data signal to the first node according to a scan signal. The driving transistor includes a threshold voltage and a gate coupled to the second node. The second switching transistor includes a gate receiving an emitting signal. The luminous element is coupled to the driving transistor and the second switching transistor in series between a first operation voltage and a second operation voltage. The setting unit controls the voltage levels of the first and the second nodes to compensate the threshold voltage of the driving transistor.

Pixel structure and display system utilizing the same

A source driver providing an output image to a plurality of pixels and including a judgment unit, an image processing unit, and a digital-to-analog converter is disclosed. The judgment unit encodes a first input image to generate an encoded code and compares the encoded code with a preset code to generate a luminance controlling signal. The image processing unit processes an image signal by an algorithm and outputs the processed result when the judgment unit asserts the luminance controlling signal. The image processing unit directly outputs the image signal when the judgment unit un-asserts the luminance controlling signal. The digital-to-analog converter transforms the output of the image processing unit and outputs the transformed result to the pixels.

Source driver and electronic system utilizing the same

A brightness adjuster generating an image output to a panel, which displays the corresponding image according to the image output. The image output includes a red output signal, a green output signal, and a blue output signal. The brightness adjuster includes a determination unit, a calculation unit, and a digital to analog converting unit. The determination unit determines a main input signal according to a red input signal, a green input signal, and a blue input signal. The calculation unit adjusts the red, the green, and the blue input signals according to the main input signal. The digital to analog converting unit transforms the adjusted red, the adjusted green, and the adjusted blue input signals into the red, the green, and the blue output signals.

Brightness adjuster, adjustment method, and electronic system utilizing the same

An OLED display including a display panel, a memory, and a processing circuit is provided. The display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixels. The memory stores a compensation table. The processing circuit includes a current sensor, and a processor. The current sensor sense a current of at least one sub-pixel among said plurality of sub-pixels, and the compensation table is updated according to the sensed current. The processor receives image data and generates compensated image data based on the image data and the updated compensation table. Then the display panel displays said compensated image data.

OLED display, information device, and method for displaying an image in OLED display

A representative system for displaying images comprises a pixel array, a conversion circuit, a memory device, and a compensation circuit. The pixel array has a plurality of pixels, each having at least one organic light emitting element equipped with a sensing unit which retrieves display information when the organic light emitting element retrieves a test signal. The conversion circuit determines a display parameter of each organic light emitting element according to the test signal and the display information of each organic light emitting element. The memory device stores the display parameter of each organic light emitting element. The compensation circuit modifies a video signal in accordance with the display parameters stored in the memory device.

System and method for reducing mura defects

Image display techniques for eliminating mura defects, which collects reference data and adjusts the gray levels. The image display systems comprising a plurality of pixels, a memory, and an ASIC. Each of the pixels relates to a mura compensation coefficient set. The mura compensation coefficient sets of the pixels are generated by a coefficient generator. The memory stores the mura compensation coefficient sets of the pixels. The ASIC reads the mura compensation coefficient sets from the memory. With different mura compensation coefficient sets, the ASIC serves as different mura compensation function sets. Each mura compensation function set relates to one of the aforementioned pixels and is used for transforming an original gray level to a mura-eliminated gray level to drive the corresponding pixel.
