A steering device () includes: a steering wheel () which accepts a steering operation by a driver; an electrode device () provided to the steering wheel (); and a steering controller () which measures electrostatic capacitance of the electrode device (), and determines the presence/absence of gripping of the steering wheel () based on a measurement result of the electrostatic capacitance, in which the steering wheel () includes: an annular rim (), a columnar hub () provided at an inner side of the rim (); and spokes (L,R,D) which connects the hub () and rim (), in which the electrode device () includes an arc-shaped electrodeprovided at an outer circumferential edgeof the hub () opposing the rim (), and in which the electrode () and rim () are arranged concentrically viewing from the driver.

Steering device

A driving control device includes a steering wheel configured to receive a steering operation, an approach sensor provided in the steering wheel and configured such that a detection value changes as a driver's hand approaches the steering wheel, a steering device configured to turn wheels according to the steering operation, and a controller configured to control the steering device. The controller is configured to estimate a change in a position of the driver's hand based on a change in the detection value of the approach sensor, estimate a moving mode of the driver's hand based on the estimated change in the position of the driver's hand, and cause the steering device to turn the wheels in a case where a vehicle speed is equal to or lower than a threshold value and the moving mode of the driver's hand is a mode along a circumferential direction.

Driving control device

A contact detection device includes an electrostatic capacitance sensor provided on a steering wheel of a vehicle, and configured to detect contact of a human body with the steering wheel, an estimation unit configured to estimate whether the human body is in contact with the steering wheel, and a diagnosis unit configured to conduct a failure diagnosis related to the electrostatic capacitance sensor, based on a detection result of the electrostatic capacitance sensor in a case where the estimation unit estimates that the human body is in contact with the steering wheel and a detection result of the electrostatic capacitance sensor in a case where the estimation unit estimates that the human body is in no contact with the steering wheel.

Contact detection device

This steering device of a vehicle includes: a steering wheel with a rim portion connected to a spoke portion extending from a hub portion; and a capacitance type of contact sensor that detects a grip of the steering wheel by a driver on the basis of a change in capacitance, wherein the contact sensor includes a detection electrode which is installed in the rim portion to sense a change in capacitance of the rim portion, and a conductive member which is disposed in a region of the spoke portion on a side facing the driver and one end portion of which is in contact with the detection electrode of the rim portion.

Steering wheel unit

An automatic driving control device changes the degree of automation during an automatic control or the degree of change to the vehicle behavior during the automatic control, on the basis of the peripheral monitoring state of a driver, and on the basis of how easy it is to perform a switching operation for prioritizing manual control over automatic control. Thus, the automatic driving control device makes it possible to ensure the convenience of automatic control, by dynamically changing the degree of automation or the degree of change to the vehicle behavior, without uniformly stopping automatic control of steering and acceleration.

Provided is a drive assistance device for a self-driving car with which drive assistance is less liable to be deactivated, even if an abnormality of a monitoring device for monitoring a state of a driver occurs. A device checking ECU checks whether a plurality of monitoring devices for monitoring the state of the driver are normal or abnormal. On the basis of the check result, an assistance degree determination unit (function availability determination unit) determines a use degree (availability) of a plurality of drive assistance functions (ACC function, LKAS function, and ALC function) including an ACC function. Drive assistance effected by a vehicle with respect to the driver is therefore less liable to be deactivated.

Drive assistance device

A drive assist controller verifies the driving intention of a driver on the basis of whether or not the driver is contacting the steering wheel when a lane-maintaining control is being executed. An automatic driving controller verifies the driving intention of the driver on the basis of whether or not the driver is gripping the steering wheel when automatic driving is being performed. This configuration makes it possible to appropriately determine the driving intention of a driver, by changing the method of verifying the driving intention of the driver between cases when the driver has driving authority and cases when the vehicle has driving authority.

Provided is a driving assistance device such that even if the main power supply voltage of a main electricity storage device becomes less than or equal to the operable voltage of a device for monitoring the state of a driver, interruptions in driving assistance are prevented. In a contact sensor, the contact sensitivity [pF/mm] of a prescribed area (an area including a blank portion on the side of a rim part of the steering wheel that is near a seat surface of a driver's seat when the vehicle is in a straight traveling state is set to be lower than the contact sensitivity of another area (an area comprising only a conductive part) of the rim part.
