It is provided that a method for producing a biaxially oriented polyester film that can be used for industrial and packaging applications. A method for producing a biaxially oriented polyester film, comprising: a step of feeding a polyester resin into an extruder, a step of extruding the molten polyester resin from an extruder to obtain a molten resin sheet at 250 to 310&#xb0; C., a step of attaching the molten resin sheet closely to a cooling roll by an electrostatic application method to obtain an unstretched sheet, and a step of biaxially stretching the unstretched sheet, wherein the polyester resin fulfills the following (A) to (C): (A) the polyester resin comprises a polyethylene furandicarboxylate resin composed of a furandicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol; (B) an intrinsic viscosity of the polyester resin is 0.50 dL/g or more; (C) a melt specific resistance value at 250&#xb0; C. of the polyester resin is 3.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm or less.

Method for producing polyester film having furandicarboxylate unit

An object is to provide a laminate having excellent lamination strength that includes a polyester film having a furandicarboxylate unit and a heat-sealable resin layer, and to provide a packaging bag including the same. A laminate including a polyester film and a heat-sealable resin layer, wherein the polyester film is a biaxially oriented polyester film containing a polyethylene furandicarboxylate resin composed of a furandicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol, a plane orientation coefficient &#x394;P of the film is 0.100 or more and 0.160 or less, a thickness of the film is 1 &#x3bc;m or more and 300 &#x3bc;m or less, a heat shrinkage rate of the film is 10% or less when heated at 150&#xb0; C. for 30 minutes, and lamination strength of the laminate is 2.0 N/15 mm or more.

It is provided that a polyester film excellent in heat resistant dimension stability, impact-resistant strength properties, easy-slipping properties, mechanical properties, transparency, and gas barrier performance, and a film roll obtained by winding up this polyester film. A polyester film includes at least one layer mainly including a polyester resin containing a dicarboxylic acid component including furandicarboxylic acid as a main component and a glycol component including ethylene glycol as a main component; and the polyester film has a plane orientation coefficient &#x394;P of not less than 0.005 and not more than 0.200, a thickness of not less than 1 &#x3bc;m and not more than 300 &#x3bc;m, a heat shrinkage rate of 3.2% or less in each of the MD direction and the TD direction at 150&#xb0; C. for 30 minutes, and a layer containing at least one additive.
