A controlling circuitry of a power converter performs switchover control for, on the basis of a level specification signal, switching between a 3-level operation mode of outputting AC voltage composed of 3-level voltages at a positive side and a negative side of a DC circuit and a voltage-division point of DC voltage between the positive side and the negative side of the DC circuit by performing ON/OFF control of semiconductor elements, and a 2-level operation mode of outputting AC voltage composed of 2-level voltages at the positive side and the negative side of the DC circuit by performing ON/OFF control of the semiconductor elements, and switches a compensation value for compensating error between a voltage command and AC voltage, between a case of the 2-level operation mode and a case of the 3-level operation mode.

A power conversion device includes a switching signal generation unit that generates switching signals so that time points of at least one of pairs synchronize with each other. A first pair includes a rising time point at a first junction point of a first single-phase leg, and a falling time point at a second junction point of a second single-phase leg. A second pair includes a falling time point at the first junction point and a rising time point at the second junction point. The switching signal generation unit determines time points to turn on or turn off for upper arm switching element and a lower arm switching element based on phase currents respectively at a rising time point and at a falling time point of the terminal voltages.

In a rotary machine control device for controlling a rotary machine having a multi-group multiphase configuration, a phase difference &#x3b8;coil of 150&#xb0; to 210&#xb0; (excluding 180&#xb0;) is electrically provided between a winding for an odd-number group and a winding for an even-number group in the rotary machine, wherein, when the effective value of a voltage command is smaller than a voltage threshold, the phase difference between the voltage commands for the respective groups is set to 180&#xb0;, and when a torque command is greater than a torque threshold, the phase difference between the voltage commands for the respective groups is set to &#x3b8;coil.

A control device for controlling switching elements in a power conversion circuit includes a pattern generation unit for generating a frequency change pattern, and a controller. Using n first frequencies fc and a second frequency fdef smaller than the smallest one of differences between the n first frequencies fc, the pattern generation unit determines a shift order of the 2n switching frequencies f determined by adding/subtracting the second frequency fdef to/from the first frequencies fc, such that the middle value between two switching frequencies f before and after shifting does not overlap the value of each switching frequency f, thereby generating a frequency change pattern. The controller generates a control signal G for each switching element by using the 2n switching frequencies f for respective different duration times in accordance with the frequency change pattern.

In a mechanically and electrically integrated driving apparatus, a common coolant flow channel for cooling a motor unit and an inverter unit is disposed inside a wall portion of a frame unit. Power modules are placed in close contact with an inner wall surface of the frame unit. A bracket that is separate from the frame unit is fitted into the frame unit. A space inside the frame unit is divided by the bracket into: a space in which the motor unit is housed; and a space in which the inverter unit is housed.

Mechanically and electrically integrated driving apparatus and manufacturing method therefor

In an inverter integrated motor apparatus, a cylindrical base frame has an inverter unit accommodating section. The inverter unit has a plurality of control substrates and a plurality of power modules which are provided on the control substrates. In the inverter unit accommodating section, a plurality of openings are provided at intervals in the circumferential direction. A rib section is formed between mutually adjacent openings. The openings are covered by the plurality of heat sinks. The power modules and control substrates are disposed on the inside of the heat sinks.
