A Ni-based single crystal superalloy which has the following composition: Co: 4.0 to 9.5 wt %, Cr: 5.1 to 8.0 wt %, Mo: 2.1 to 3.5 wt %, W: 0.0 to 2.9 wt %, Ta: 4.0 to 10.0 wt %, Al: 4.5 to 6.5 wt %, Ti: 0.0 to 1.0 wt %, Hf: 0.08 to 0.5 wt %, Nb: 0.0 to 3.0 wt %, Re: 4.5 to 8.0 wt % and Ru: 0.5 to 6.5 wt % with the remainder including Ni and unavoidable impurities, wherein P1&#x2266;700 is satisfied in which P1 represents a parameter 1, which is obtained by a formula: P1=137&#xd7;[W (wt %)]+24&#xd7;[Cr (wt %)]+46&#xd7;[Mo (wt %)]&#x2212;18&#xd7;[Re (wt %)].

Ni-based single crystal superalloy and turbine blade incorporating the same

The object of the present invention is to provide an Ni-based single crystal super alloy capable of improving strength by preventing precipitation of a TCP phase at high temperatures. This object is achieved by an Ni-based single crystal super alloy having a composition comprising 5.0-7.0 wt % of Al, 4.0-10.0 wt % of Ta, 1.1-4.5 wt % of Mo, 4.0-10.0 wt % of W, 3.1-8.0 wt % of Re, 0-0.50 wt % of Hf, 2.0-5.0 wt % of Cr, 0-9.9 wt % of Co and 4.1-14.0 wt % of Ru in terms of its weight ratio, with the remainder consisting of Ni and unavoidable impurities. Furthermore, in this Ni-based single crystal super alloy, when lattice constant of matrix is taken to be a1 and lattice constant of precipitation phase is taken to be a2, a2&#x2266;0.999a1.

A Ni-based single crystal superalloy according to the invention has, for example, a composition including: 5.0 to 7.0 wt % of Al, 4.0 to 10.0 wt % of Ta, 1.1 to 4.5 wt % of Mo, 4.0 to 10.0 wt % of W, 3.1 to 8.0 wt % of Re, 0.0 to 2.0 wt % of Hf, 2.5 to 8.5 wt % of Cr, 0.0 to 9.9 wt % of Co, 0.0 to 4.0 wt % of Nb, and 1.0 to 14.0 wt % of Ru in terms of weight ratio; and the remainder including Ni and incidental impurities. In addition, the contents of Cr, Hf and Al are preferably set so as to satisfy the equation OP&#x2267;108. According to the Ni-based single crystal superalloy of the invention, high creep strength can be maintained and the oxidation resistance can be improved.

Discharging surface preparation method and repairing method

A Ni-based single crystal super alloy capable of improving strength by preventing precipitation of a TCP phase at high temperatures may be obtained by a Ni-based single crystal super alloy having a composition consisting of 5.0-7.0 wt % Al, 4.0-8.0 wt % Ta, 2.9-4.5 wt % Mo, 4.0-8.0 wt % W, 3.0-6.0 wt % Re, 0.01-0.50 wt % Hf, 2.0-5.0 wt % Cr, 0.1-15.0 wt % Co and 1.0-4.0 wt % Ru in terms of its weight ratio, with the remainder consisting of Ni and unavoidable impurities. Preferably, the composition of Co in the Ni-based single crystal super alloy is limited to 0.1-9.5 wt %.

There is disclosed a hybrid treatment into which CVI treatment and PIP treatment are combined. A dense matrix is formed around a ceramic fiber by the CVI treatment, and a gap in the matrix is infiltrated/filled well with the matrix by the PIP treatment, so that hermetic properties are enhanced. Moreover, when a volume ratio of the matrix by the CVI treatment in the total matrix is set to about 5% or more, about 80% or less, fine cracks are present in the matrix by the PIP treatment, so that a binding force of the ceramic fiber is weakened, and Young's modulus can be reduced. As a result, a thermal stress is alleviated and a resistance to thermal shock is enhanced.

There is provided Ceramic matrix composites comprising fibers, BN coating applied to the fibers, the BN coating being composed of BN and one of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3, Sc.sub.2 O.sub.3, ZrO.sub.2 and lanthanoid family oxide or combinations thereof, and matrices interposed between the fibers. There is also provided Ceramic matrix composites comprising, fibers, BN coating applied to the fibers, the BN coating is composed of BN and coated with one of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3, Sc.sub.2 O.sub.3, ZrO.sub.2 and lanthanoid family oxide or combinations thereof, and matrices interposed between the fibers. The ceramic matrix composites in accordance with the present invention is capable of being used at 1000 degrees centigrade or greater in air.
