A process for producing a three-dimensional model is provided. The process includes (a) a layer formation step of forming a layer of a powder material having a refractive index nabove a support, (b) a shape formation step of bonding the powder material layer into a predetermined shape by a binder that gives a refractive index n, and (c) sequentially repeating the above steps. The absolute value of the difference between the refractive index nof the powder material and the refractive index ngiven by the binder is 0.1 or less, and the binder includes two or more types of binders selected from the group consisting of at least one type of colored binder, a white binder, and a colorless transparent binder.

Process for producing three-dimensional model

A process for producing a three-dimensional model is provided. The process includes a step (layer formation step) of forming a layer of a powder material, the layer having a predetermined thickness, a step (cross-sectional shape formation step) of imagewise bonding the powder material layer by a binder according to sliced cross-sectional data of a modeled object so as to give a cross-sectional shape, and sequentially repeating the above steps. The surface gloss of the three-dimensional model obtained when measured at 20&#xb0; is 20% or more. Furthermore, production equipment used in the above process is provided. Moreover, a three-dimensional model is provided that contains a powder material and a binder and is formed by imagewise curing the binder, the three-dimensional model having a surface gloss when measured at 20&#xb0; of 20% or more.

The present invention provides a high-quality heat-sensitive recording material which can prevent curling attributed to an environmental change or heating during recording, is free of deformation of the material, and is applicable to a wide variety of fields. The heat-sensitive recording material of the present invention has at least a heat-sensitive recording layer on one side of a support and a back coat layer on the other side, wherein the back coat layer comprises a plurality of layers, and the outermost layer in the back coat layer most remote from the support contains an inorganic lamellar compound and/or polyvinyl alcohol. The inorganic lamellar compound is preferably water-swelling synthetic mica.

Heat-sensitive recording material

A light-sensitive and heat-sensitive recording material containing a diazo compound and a coupling component or a coupler, in which a density of a recorded image and a whiteness of a base portion are both improved. The recording material includes a recording layer disposed on a substrate. The recording layer preferably contains the diazo compound in the form of a diazonium salt and enclosed in micro-capsules together with an acylphosphine oxide compound, wherein the diazonium salt is reactive with the coupler.

Light-sensitive and heat-sensitive recording material

The present invention provides a recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer thereon characterized in that the oxygen transmission rate of the substrate, as measured in accordance with Method B of JIS K 7126, is not greater than 50 cc/m.sup.2 /day. If necessary, a protective layer is formed on the recording layer. The substrate is composed of a sheet of base paper and a plastic film layer present at least on the side of the paper which faces a recording layer to be formed. The plastic film layer is appropriately selected from the group consisting of a polyester film, a polyvinylidene chloride film, a polycarbonate film, a polyvinylchloride film and a film of a random copolymer of ethylene and vinylalcohol. The recording material according to the present invention is excellent in the long-term preservation of images, fading resistance and light fastness.

Recording material

A heat-sensitive recording material having excellent light-fastness and raw stock storability is disclosed. The material includes a support and a heat-sensitive recording layer provided on the support, and the heat-sensitive recording layer contains a diazo compound and a coupler. The coupler contains at least one species of pyrazolone compounds represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein Ar represents a phenyl group, a naphthyl group, or an aromatic heterocyclic group, any one of which may have a substituent bonded to the nucleus, said substituent may be a halogen atom, a cyano group, a trifluoromethyl group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a carbamoyl group, or a sulfamoyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an aryl group, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be linked to each other so as to form a heterocycle.

A method of optically reading colored record images formed by the reaction of a substantially colorless electron donating dye and an electron accepting developer in a pressure-sensitive recording sheet with a red light having a wavelength of from 620 nm to 700 nm, wherein the pressure-sensitive recording sheet comprises an electron accepting developer layer containing a metal salt of an aromatic carboxylic acid as the electron accepting developer and an electron donating dye layer containing a phthalide compound represented by the following formula (1) as the electron donating dye: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 each represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; the R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 or the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may combine with each other to form a ring; R.sub.5 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8, and R.sub.9 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a substituted amino group, or an alicyclic amino group; and X and Y each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an alkoxy group.

A recording material containing an electron donating colorless dye capable of undergoing a coloration reaction, wherein a metal salt of a salicylic acid derivative represented by the following formula (I) and a fatty acid derivative having a benzotriazole group as a substituent group or an alcohol derivative having a benzotriazole group as a substituent group are provided on a same support: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent each hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group.

A method for the manufacture of microcapsules for use in pressure-sensitive recording sheets is disclosed, which comprises after dispersing and emulsifying in a hydrophilic liquid a solution obtained by dissolving (a) a polyisocyanate, (b) an alkyleneoxide adduct of an amine and (c) an electron-donating color former in a hydrophobic liquid, adding a polyamine to the emulsified dispersion and forming microcapsules of poly(urethane urea) around the liquid droplets containing the color former.

Method for the manufacture of microcapsules for pressure-sensitive

A recording medium comprising at least one electron donating colorless dye and at least one electron accepting compound, wherein the electron accepting compound is a salicylic acid compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents a divalent group; X and Y, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen aotm, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, or a halogen atom; and Z represents a hydrogen atom, a carboxyl group, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, or a halogen atom, or a metal salt thereof.

A recording material comprising a support provided thereon a color developer and microcapsules containing a substantially colorless color former is disclosed, wherein the microcapsules further contains at least one of nickel compounds represented by formulae (I) and (II) shown in the specification. The microcapsules exhibit excellent light-resistance, and a color image developed exhibits excellent light-fastness.

Color developer sheet

A pressure-sensitive recording medium producing a colored image utilizing the reaction between a substantially colorless electron donating dye precursor and an electron accepting developer is disclosed. This recording sheet is characterized in that the electron accepting developer layer contains an aromatic carboxylic acid metal salt and the electron donating dye precursor layer contains (a) an indolylazaphthalide compound and (b) Crystal Violet lactone.

Pressure-sensitive recording medium

A desensitizer composition consisting essentially of a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpyperidine compound as a desensitizer and additives comprising a natural or synthetic high-molecular weight compound and a pigment, a color developer sheet containing the desensitizer composition and a process for forming an image using the color developer sheet. The composition exhibits superior desensitizing effects, especially when used with fluoran color formers.
