Noise caused by a gap between a rotor and a plate can be suppressed even when there are dimensional variations in members or assembly states. In a configuration of a stepping motor including front side and end side stator assemblies (), a rotor () provided with a rotor member () and a shaft () that are accommodated in the stator assemblies (), and a front plate () and an end plate () that are arranged on both sides of the stator assemblies () in an axial direction, and are configured to couple the stator assemblies (), a projection () in an annular shape is provided on a surface of the front plate () facing the rotor member () to protrude toward the rotor member (), a coil spring () that is interposed between the front plate () and the rotor member () is accommodated in the inner side of the projection (), and the rotor () is urged toward the end plate () by the coil spring to be elastically pressed against the end plate ().

Stepping motor

A structure reliably secures a stepping motor to a circuit board. The stepping motor has an axially protruding boss portion accommodating a shaft in the inside, which boss portion is provided to be snapped into a circuit board, axially protruding current conducting terminal pins that are made so as to be soldered to the circuit board, and securing pins not functioning as electrodes, which securing pins are made so as to be soldered to the circuit board and are arranged in a position whereby they sandwich the boss portion between themselves and the current conducting terminal pins.

A stepping motor for a meter to rotate a pointer of a meter, the stepping motor for a meter includes: a rotor part having: a cylindrical magnet; and a rotational shaft, which is hollow and made of a resin, and which is molded on an inner periphery of the cylindrical magnet and is coaxial with the cylindrical magnet; a stator part that contains the rotor part therein and has an excitation coil; a front plate made of a resin, and an end plate made of a resin, wherein a fixing part to fix the cylindrical magnet is molded when molding the rotational shaft, and wherein the cylindrical magnet is fixed by the fixing part so that the cylindrical magnet and the rotational shaft are integrated.
