An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a fan, a heat exchanger, and a drain receiver. The interior of the housing is partitioned into a first space and a second space in an axial direction of the rotating shaft of the fan. In the first space, a first opening is provided to allow air to flow out toward a region located outward of the fan in the first space in a radial direction of the fan. In the second space, no opening is provided and a region located outward of the fan in the second space is closed in the radial direction of the fan. In at least part of a space between the fan in the first space and the heat exchanger, a first water receiving device is provided at a higher position than the drain receiver.

A finless heat exchanger includes a pair of headers each including a pipe-shaped portion extending in a first direction, and branching portions formed on the pipe-shaped portion, and flat pipes each having a flat sectional shape elongated in one direction, the flat pipes being arrayed in the first direction and connecting the branching portions of the headers. Flat surfaces of adjacent two flat pipes face each other and the adjacent two flat pipes each have a side surface facing a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The flat pipes connect the branching portions, the side surface of each of the flat pipes has a wave shape, and adjacent flat pipes are prevented from contacting each other. Both the side surfaces are opened so that air flows in from a side corresponding to one side surface in the second direction and flows out from a side in the second direction.

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of bent parts where a direction of slope of the heat exchanger changes from an upward direction to a downward direction or from a downward direction to an upward direction. The plurality of bent parts is provided on each of a side of an air inlet and a side of an air outlet. The heat exchanger is provided such that all of the plurality of bent parts is visible when the heat exchanger is seen from a front side of a casing. Drain pans are provided below each of the plurality of bent parts that are on the side of the air outlet.

Indoor unit for air-conditioning apparatus, and air-conditioning apparatus

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a casing having an air inlet and an air outlet and having therein an air passage, and a heat exchanger and an air-sending fan which are arranged in the air passage in the casing. The air passage is divided into a plurality of air passage sections by, for example, a partition. The air-conditioning apparatus can reduce pressure loss in an indoor unit.

The motor stays are connected to the mounting portions of a bellmouth in which the fan is disposed, wherein the mounting portions protrude downward from a downstream outlet end of the bellmouth and each include side surfaces, of which at least a first side surface opposing a pressure surface of each of the blades of the fan is at an angle relative to a rotation axis of the fan.

An indoor unit includes a heat exchanger provided on the downstream side of a fan and formed with a plurality of lower end portions in a vertical cross section from the front side to the back side of a casing, a plurality of drain pans provided below the lower end portions of the heat exchanger and configured to collect drain water occurring on the heat exchanger, and a drain channel provided between the drain pans and configured to be a flow channel of the drain, and a connecting port to which a drain hose configured to drain the drain water collected by the drain pans to the outside of the casing, and one of the drain pans is arranged to a level equal to or higher than the level of the other drain pan, and the drain channel is provided on the drain pan arranged on the back side of the casing.

The axial flow fan includes a plurality of blades disposed around and rotating together with the rotation shaft, the blades each including a leading edge, a trailing edge, a leading edge portion proximate the leading edge, a trailing edge portion proximate the trailing edge, a suction surface, a pressure surface, the suction surface having a curved shape; wherein the blade trailing edge portion has a constant thickness; and the trailing edge is formed in a semi-circle which is bi-sected by a mean camber line of the air foil.

Axial flow fan

A blower that can reduce noise and enhance efficiency by improving a blade structure of the blower used for, for example, an outdoor equipment of an air conditioner. An impeller includes plural blades attached to a peripheral surface of a boss at intervals in a peripheral direction, and a trailing edge of the blade has a protrusion-shaped part in which its central part in a radial direction is curved to expand to a suction side. With such a structure, a discharge velocity of air can be made uniform along the radial direction of the blade, and it becomes possible to reduce noise and to enhance efficiency.

Blower including blades attached to a boss

A multiblade centrifugal blower includes a centrifugal fan including a hub rotated by a motor, and plural curved rectangular blades arranged at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the hub forming a cylindrical basket with an opening on a front side of the hub, and a scroll casing including an air inlet and an air outlet, and houses the centrifugal fan inside to face the air inlet. A length from a rear end to an front end of an outer edge of the blade is shorter than a length from a rear end to an front end of an inner edge of the blade, and a bell mouth is configured such that distance between a tip part of the inner edge of the blade and an inner wall of the scroll casing is the minimum at an inner tip part P of the bell mouth of the air inlet.

Multiblade centrifugal blower

A plurality of curved rectangular blades are arranged in a circumferential direction on a periphery of a disc, forming a pipe-like basket shape with an opening on a front side of the disc. Rotation of the disc draws in air from the opening and draws out the air in a centrifugal direction through a space between the blades. The blades are formed of a thick plate part close to the disc and a thin plate part that is thinner than the thick plate part and farther than the thick plate part from the disc. A bulge serving as a boundary between the thick plate part and the thin plate part is formed on a negative pressure surface of the blades, which is of curved convex shape.

Centrifugal multiblade fan

In an air conditioner, reverse inhalation is prevented while broad band noise and wind sound are reduced. A projection arranged at the leading end of a stabilizer on the downstream side of an air stream flowing along a surface of the stabilizer opposing an impeller and protrudes toward the impeller to define the shortest distance to the impeller. A plurality of grooves or projections are provided on the opposing surface on the upstream side of the projection to disturb the air stream flowing along the opposing surface. The positions of the grooves or the projections are arranged apart in a rotational axis direction. A plurality of convex portions are provided to disturb an air stream flowing along a surface of a casing opposing the impellers. The positions of the convex portions are arranged apart in the rotational axis direction of the impeller.

Air conditioner

A blower includes: an impeller on which there are arranged axial flow bladesmounted at circumferential intervals to an outer peripheral surface of a boss; a case surrounding the impeller; and a bell mouth cylindrically constricted to guide gas into the case, wherein an inner diameter of the bell mouth is smaller than an outer diameter of the impeller. Further, each blade has, in the radial direction, a sweepforward wing portion situated on the boss side and exhibiting a positive advance ratio value, and a sweepback wing portion situated on the outer peripheral side of the blade and exhibiting a negative advance ratio value, with the arc length of each blade increasing from the boss side toward the outer peripheral side. Therefore, it is possible to achieve an improvement in ventilation efficiently, through an increase in static pressure and to achieve a reduction in noise.
