Process for producing optically active chromene derivative

A compound of the formula [I] ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen; R is lower alkyl; and .about. is any configuration of E-isomer, Z-isomer or a mixture thereof is produced by reacting a compound of the formula ##STR2## wherein X and .about. are defined above, W is --CN or --COOR; and R is a lower alkyl, with methylamine in the presence of methanol. The compound [I] is useful for an agricultural fungicide. An intermediate used for producing the compound [I] is also disclosed.

Process for producing alkoxyiminoacetamide compounds and intermediates

An improved process for preparing a vinyl imidazole derivative (I) and a new method of production of a monoimidazole derivative (II) are provided: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is halogen; and R.sup.2, X, and Y are each is hydrogen or halogen. The vinyl imidazole derivatives (I) are useful as antimycotic agents for humans and animals or agricultural fungicides, and the monoimidazole derivatives (II) can be utilized as intermediates for preparing them.
