In a multiple computer system, a computer sends a program annexed with a code representative of the characteristic (e.g., the content and length of the program, the cooperation with other programs, the content of input and output data) of the program to the transmission line. Another computer checks the program based on the code representative of the program characteristic, and receives the program if necessary or executable based on the check result. Each computer can set, as occasion arises or if necessary, codes representative of the characteristics of several programs executable by the computer, so that specific receiving stations are not needed to be identified beforehand. The received program is checked based on the characteristic code annexed thereto, and if proper, the program is stored or executed if necessary.

Method of program management for multiple computer system

A plurality of processors have a plurality pairs of input ports and output ports, and are constituted in a looped manner by connecting the output ports and the input ports of the same pairs of any number of processors. A transmission system is formed in which the data on the same loop is allowed to flow and the data that is required is transferred to different loops, so that the data flows through the loops and across the loops to reach a predetermined processor. The system is formed of a first group of looped transmission lines, a second group of looped transmission lines that are arranged to intersect said first group of looped transmission lines, transmission lines that couple said intersecting transmission lines together, and a data processing and controlling unit that controls the transmission of data among the transmission lines and that processes the data.

In order to recognize an object to be recognized, the present invention comprises a plurality of photosensors for receiving reflected rays from an object to be recognized, and a plurality of image recognition processors. Said plurality of sensors and processors are connected in network structure, so that each of said plurality of sensors recognizes only a part of the object to be recognized and applies signals to said plurality of image recognition processors, and each of said plurality of image recognition processors recognizes the object to be recognized according only to said image recognition signals applied from said plurality of sensors adjacent to each other. Further, in order to make the image of the object, each of said image recognition processor recognizes the image of the object, in conjunction with adjacent image recognition processors, according to the information showing the profile of each part of the object, and applies signals to light emitting devices for displaying the image.

If a transient fault occurs in the systems, an indication of the degree of the transient fault is stored and a possibility that the transient fault will change to a permanent fault is determined based on a time variation of the degree of the fault. If it is determined that the transient fault will change to a permanent fault, it is indicated to a man-machine system. In this manner, a loop transmission system which can be readily prediction-diagnosed for a fault is provided. In a second embodiment, means for calculating a feedback rate of a signal sent out to the transmission line and means for calculating the degree of fault on the transmission line based on the feedback rate calculated by the calculation means are provided.

This invention relates to a method of and a system for generating and correcting or regulating a transit schedule of a transportation medium, such as a train. Schedule tables for transportation media having numerical values for departure and arrival time, place of departure, transportation media and trainmen to be allotted and connection transportation media are correspondingly shown. Diagrams of plans are edited differently from the schedule tables, and diagrams of all or individual operations to be carried out by trainmen and other workers are all stored in a memory, and these diagrams are displayed in a display unit. Whenever variations occur in the schedules and actual transit condition is checked. Problems are eliminated automatically in a predetermined range of the diagrams, or picture and guidance displayed at once.

An apparatus for searching data by feature patterns comprises a plurality of processors operating independent of one another for recognizing individual feature patterns of plural input pattern data, a large-capacity file accesing unit arranged to use data constituted by arrays of results of recognitions outputted from the processors as addresses, and a large-capacity file for storing data associated with a large number of input patterns, respectively, at locations of the addresses corresponding to the feature patterns of the input pattern data, respectively. An apparatus for searching data on the basis of feature pattern comprises a plurality of processors of which at least one is activated in response to the results of the processings performed by the other processors which operate independent of one another for recognizing individual feature patterns of input pattern data, respectively, devices for outputting the results of the processings performed by the other processors to the one processor, controller for controlling the activation of the one processor on the basis of the outputted results of the processings, and a large-capacity file arranged to use data constituted by arrays of the results of recognitions outputted from the plural processors directly as the addresses.
