A magnetic recording layer is provided on a base, and a thermosensitive recording layer is provided on the magnetic recording layer through a thermoplastic layer. The thermosensitive recording layer is a coating layer which is mainly composed of low melting point non-magnetic metal powder having shape anisotropy and a binder. The thermoplastic layer is prepared from a material having a melting temperature which is lower than that of the non-magnetic metal powder forming the thermosensitive recording layer, in a thickness of 1 to 20 .mu.m. Information is printed on the thermosensitive recording layer with a thermal head.

Thermosensitive magnetic recording medium

A heat-sensitive record material having a thick base support consisting of at least two base sheets and at least one binder layer, said base support weighing at least 150 g/m.sup.2 and having an excellent dimensional stability without accompaniment of any cockles and any background fogginess. It is particularly suitable for use in providing tags, tickets, cards, price marks etc. A process for the production of said heat-sensitive record material by the use of a binder consisting essentially of at least one thermoplastic polymer for which the vicat softening temperature is 20.degree. C. to 180.degree. C. and preferably 30.degree. C. to 160.degree. C.

Heat-sensitive record material and process for the production thereof

In a heat-sensitive recording material incorporating a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color acceptor which is reactive with the basic dye to form a color when contacted therewith, the recording material characterized in that at least one compound represented by the formula [I] is contained in a heat-sensitive recording layer ##STR1## wherein X is --O-- or --COO--, R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 are each hydrogen atom, alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, aralkyl having 7 to 9 carbon atoms, chlorine atom, acetyl, propionyl, methoxy, methylthio, methoxycarbonyl, cyano, nitro or cyclohexenyl, substituents R.sub.1 and/or R.sub.2 or substituents R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may link together to form aromatic ring(s), n is an integer of 1 to 10.

Heat-sensitive recording material

In a heat-sensitive recording material incorporating a colorless or pale-colored basic dye and a color acceptor which is reactive with the dye to form a color when contacted therewith, the recording material characterized in that the color acceptor comprises at least one compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a hydrogen atom, alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl, provided that R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, as well as R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, are not hydrogen at the same time.

A pressure sensitive manifold paper is prepared with use of microcapsules having enclosed therein an organic solvent, a color former contained in the solvent, and an alkylphenol compound and/or a mercaptan added to the solvent. The paper affords prints resistant to light and has a color forming layer which remains free of coloration and gives prints of original color even when exposed to light.

Pressure sensitive manifold paper

A recording material for use in a pressure sensitive copying system has an undercoating layer which is formed on a surface of a base sheet and on which a color former coating layer including microcapsules each encapsulating an oil droplet containing a color former material dissolved or dispersed therein. The undercoating layer comprises finely divided inorganic pigment particles and a binder and is substantially unreactive with the color former material included in the color former layer.

Recording material for use in a pressure sensitive copying system

The recording material comprises a base sheet and a color former coating layer formed on a surface of the base sheet and the color former coating layer is formed by coating a surface of the base sheet with a coating composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of microcapsules each encapsulating a hydrophobic color former material therein and having a capsule wall of a gelated hydrophilic colloid material.
