The present invention relates to a communication apparatus including a plurality of interfaces and the interfaces are selected to enable detour call reception. A power-supplied interface is allowed to receive a call correspondingly to the selection of the interface. A plurality of networks (cellular network, WLAN network) and a communicating apparatus (communication terminal apparatus) wirelessly connected to a network apparatus (cellular switchboard, SIP server) disposed in each network are included. The communicating apparatus includes a plurality of interface units (cellular interface unit, WLAN interface unit) corresponding to the networks. Connection of a power source is switched for the interface units, and some or all of the networks are notified of detour destination information for detouring the call from the network to the interface unit of the call destination. The network apparatus receives the detour destination information to detour the call to the interface unit of the detour destination.

The television camera of a video telephone set can easily be focused on the image of an object, such as a sheet of paper, through an inexpensive focusing apparatus. An indication corresponding to the size of the sheet is displayed on a display unit. The size of the displayed indication is determined depending on the distance, as detected by a zoomed distance detector, by which the lens of the television camera is zoomed. The position of the television camera is moved with respect to the object until the edges of the sheet are aligned with the indication displayed on the display screen of the display unit. When the edges of the sheet are aligned with the displayed indication, the television camera is sharply focused on the displayed image of the object. The size of the displayed indication, which indicates the actual size of the sheet, is determined based on an inputted sheet size and the detected distance by which the lens is zoomed. The television camera can thus be focused on the displayed image with ease.

A phase lock circuit includes a control signal generator which generates a control signal changing for every frame consisting of an odd-numbered field and an even-numbered field in a reproduction mode. The control signal has a first level for a frame and a second level for a subsequent frame. The phase lock circuit further includes a first PLL circuit and a second PLL circuit. The first PLL circuit generates a first synchronizing signal which is phase-locked with a reproduced synchronizing signal for every other frame when the control signal is at the first level. The second PLL circuit generates a second synchronizing signal which is phase-locked with the reproduced synchronizing signal for every other frame when the control signal is at the second level. Furthermore, the phase lock circuit includes a select circuit which selects one of the first and second synchronizing signals supplied from the first and second PLL circuits on the basis of the control signal. The selected synchronizing signal is the synchronizing signal output from the phase lock circuit.
