A seabed-resource lifting device causing deep-sea mud that contains rare-earth elements to rise from depths of 5000 m or more. This seabed-resource lifting device includes: a transport hose that includes a first hose and a second hose and that hangs from a resource-recovery vessel to the seabed; a crawler-type collector that includes a first suction chamber that sends mud from the seabed to the first hose, and a second suction chamber that sends mud from the seabed to the second hose; a water electrolyzer that, using electricity supplied from the resource-recovery vessel, electrolyzes water so as to generate hydrogen gas and oxygen gas; and a gas-injection device that injects the generated hydrogen gas and oxygen gas into the first suction chamber and the second suction chamber, respectively. Mud that contains rare-earth elements rises with sea water due to the buoyancy of the hydrogen gas or oxygen gas.

Seabed resource lifting device

A floppy disk unit including a cartridge case or a jacket, a flexible magnetic disk rotatably accommodated in the cartridge case or the jacket, and liners disposed on the inner surface of the cartridge case or the jacket, wherein at least the surface layer of each of the liners in sliding contact with the magnetic disk is made from a fiber material such as rayon fiber, polyamide fiber, polyester fiber, or polynosic rayon fiber, each fiber having a diameter of 10 to 30 .mu.m, and the fiber material contains inorganic oxide material powder such as titanium oxide having an average diameter of 0.01 to 1 .mu.m by weight ratio 0.1 to 10%.

A recording disc cartridge comprising a recording disc containing, at least in its surface layer, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic acid and its salt and derivative, a case in which the recording disc is rotatively contained, and a liner comprising polyester fiber which is interposed between the case and the recording disc with facing the disc, which has good durability and less drop out.
