A highly reliable rotating electric machine is provided in which the amount of charge discharged by partial discharge can be reduced while the machine is downsized by decreasing the thickness of insulation for coils, and it is possible to prevent paper flapping in coil end portions because of rotating wind produced by rotation of the rotor. The foregoing machine includes a stator coil including a coil conductor and a main insulation layer covering the coil conductor surface, a slot core which encloses the stator coil, and a first insulating paper sheet which is wound around the stator coil, adjoining the slot core, and a second insulating paper sheet which is wound around the stator coil, adjoining the main insulation layer, both the insulation paper sheets being placed between the stator coil and the slot core, wherein the first insulating paper sheet has a semiconductive layer abutting on the slot core and the second insulating paper sheet has a semiconductive layer located abutting on the stator coil, and an end portion of the second insulating paper sheet is exposed in an opening portion of the slot core.

Rotating electric machine having coils insulated by paper sheets with semi-conductive layers

The rotating electrical machine of the present invention includes a stator coil obtained by curing the impregnating resin injected into the whole stator coil unit after an electrically insulated coil unit with a mica tape having been wrapped around a conductor is slotted into stator iron core slots via a slot liner. The high-heat-resistance resin component of the slot liner contains at least an epoxy resin having 3 or more epoxy groups. The high-heat-resistance resin component of the mica tape contains at least an alicyclic epoxy resin. The impregnating resin contains a bifunctional epoxy resin, and an acid curing agent having one acid anhydride skeleton. With the impregnating resin, the high-heat-resistance resin components of the slot liner and the mica tape form a liner cured portion and a mica insulating layer portion as an integral unit of different resin compositions inside the slot.

A dry mica tape includes a base material, a binder resin layer A formed on the base material and including an epoxy resin and an accelerator, a mica paper layer formed in contact with the binder resin layer A, and a binder resin layer B formed in contact with the mica paper layer, including an epoxy resin, and providing a cured resin with a higher glass transition point than that of a cured resin of an impregnating varnish only by reacting with an impregnating varnish including an epoxy resin impregnated into the dry mica tape wound around a conductor.

Titanium resistant to discoloration in an atmospheric environment characterized in that, in X-ray diffraction of its surface, a ratio (X/X) of a (200) peak intensity Xof TiC to a (110) peak intensity Xof titanium is not more than 0.18 and by having an oxide film of a thickness of 12 to 40 nm at its surface.

Titanium resistant to discoloration in atmospheric environment and process of production of same

A highly thermal-conductive and thermal-resistant electrically insulated coil with less outflow of a thermosetting resin composition can be produced, to provide a small-scale, light-weight rotating machine with high power. The thermosetting resin composition comprises (a) a polyfunctional epoxy resin containing three or more p-(2,3-epoxypropoxy) phenyl groups and a group represented by the Chemical formula 1; or an epoxy resin with a naphthalene backbone, represented by the Chemical formula 3, 4 or 5 or an epoxy resin with an anthracene backbone, such as diglycidyl ether of anthracene diol and triglycidyl ether of anthracene triol; (b) a bifunctional epoxy resin containing two p-(2,3-epoxypropoxy) phenyl groups; (c) an acid anhydride curing agent; and (d) a metal acetonate curing catalyst represented by the Chemical formula 2 at 0.1 to 5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resins.
