Vibration actuator

A magnetic circuit including a pole piece, a magnet, and a yoke is supported by using a suspension where outer and inner circumferential portions thereof are connected to each other with a supporting member, and the outer circumferential portion of the suspension is fixed to protrude from a housing or an inner wall of a cover provided with a stepped portion in a direction passing over the magnetic circuit toward an inner portion, so that it is possible to limit a movable range of the magnetic circuit by using the outer circumferential portion of the suspension and to prevent inner components of a main body of the multi-function vibration actuator from being destructed at the time of being impacted due to falling.

Multi-function vibration actuator

A magnetic circuit unit includes a pole piece, a magnet, and a yoke and a suspension made of a magnetic material. A magnetic gap is formed between an inner circumferential side surface of the suspension and a circumference of the pole piece. Accordingly, it is possible to allow the magnet in the magnetic circuit unit to be thinly constructed. In addition, it is possible to implement a multi-function vibration actuator having a thin structure and capable of obtaining a sufficiently sensible vibration.

In the electromagnetic induction actuator there is a yoke that has tabs as stoppers to provide shock resistance, and there are springs that have inner rings, outer rings, bridge arms that connect the inner and outer rings and recesses that correspond to the tabs of the yoke. The yoke and the springs are assembled together within the housing by placing the tabs of the yoke into the corresponding recesses of the springs, fitting the inner rings of the springs around the outer periphery of the yoke, and fitting the outer rings of the springs into the inner diameter of the housing.

There is a terminal block with leaf spring metal terminals that extend downward from a housing on the side opposite the open end of the housing in which a diaphragm is fitted and fixed, and an elastic material functions as a pad that is sandwiched between the surface of a circuit board and the open side of the housing on the side from which the metal terminals project, with the metal terminals pressed against the conduction pattern of the circuit board to make an electrical connection. Alternatively, the contact point that is connected electrically to the conductive pattern of the circuit board is on the side on which the diaphragm is mounted and the metal terminals have flat plates for electrical connection of voice coil lead wires on the side opposite that where the diaphragm is mounted, so that the voice coil lead wires extend outside the housing and are connected electrically to the flat plates of the metal terminals on the side opposite the side where the diaphragm is mounted, and the side where the diaphragm is mounted faces the surface of the circuit board and away from the inside of the outer casing of the equipment.
