When an engine is operated, a power dividing mechanism divides power of the engine to output the power to a motor for running operation and a motor for a cargo handling operation, respectively. Each of loads is driven via a rotational shaft of a corresponding one of the motors. By operating the engine and supplying the motors with electric power from a battery to operate the motors, each of the loads can also be driven by the sum of power of the engine and power of a corresponding one of the motors. When surplus power is generated in the power of the engine, each of the motors is operated as an electric power generating unit by the surplus power. As a result, the battery is charged.

Hybrid-type forklift

When an electric compressor is activated, initial current data is selected by a selector, and a motor is driven with the torque corresponding to the initial current data. When the motor is driven by a &#xbd; turn, the selector selects current difference data. The current difference data corresponds to an instructed speed. After the switch of the selector, the motor is driven to rotate at the instructed speed.

Electric compressor and control method therefor

A method for controlling a switched reluctance motor includes controlling an applied voltage to supply constant current to each of the coils of the switched reluctance motor in order of rotation; and determining a switching timing for switching the phases of the coils such that the switching to an exited phase occurs when the variation amount of the applied voltage to the coil having the exited phase is substantially zero.

Method and apparatus for controlling switched reluctance motor and compressor

A hybrid compressor system has a hybrid compressor for compressing refrigerant. The compressor is selectively driven by one of a first drive source and a second drive source. The hybrid compressor system also includes a first one-way clutch, a driver for driving the second drive source, a sensor for detecting a rotational state of the first drive source and a controller. The first one-way clutch is arranged on a first power transmission path between the compressor and the first drive source for permitting power transmission from the first drive source to the compressor. The controller is electrically connected to the driver and the sensor. When a drive source of the compressor is switched from the second drive source to the first drive source, the controller orders the driver to stop the second drive source after the rotation of the first drive source is detected.

Hybrid compressor system

An air conditioner for air conditioning the interior of a compartment includes a compressor and an electric motor. The compressor compresses refrigerant gas and changes the displacement. The electric motor drives the compressor. A motor controller rotates the motor at a constant reference speed. A detection device detects information related to the thermal load on the air conditioner. A current sensor detects the value of current supplied to the electric motor. A controller controls the compressor based on the detected thermal load information and the detected current value. The controller computes a target torque of the compressor based on the thermal load information. In accordance with the computed target torque, the controller computes a target current value to be supplied to the electric motor. The controller further controls the displacement of the compressor such that the detected current value matches the target current value.

Air conditioner

A speed control unit computes a instructed current based on an error between a instructed speed and an estimated speed. A current control unit outputs a reference voltage corresponding to an error between the instructed current and a detected motor current. By adding estimated speed electromotive force to the reference voltage, a motor-applied voltage is generated and a synchronous motor is driven. An estimation unit computes the estimated position, estimated speed, and estimated speed electromotive force of the synchronous motor. By supplying a motor current of a predetermined pattern when the synchronous motor begins to be driven, the rotor of the synchronous motor is set in a default position. The default position is used as an initial value of an estimated position.

Motor Apparatus and control method therefor

An air-conditioning system for a vehicle, including a refrigerant circuit and an engine, has a battery, a compressor, an electric motor and a load torque control mechanism. The battery supplies electric power. The compressor is operative to compress refrigerant gas for the air-conditioning system. The electric motor is electrically connected to the battery. The motor is driven due to the electric power, and is operatively coupled to drive the compressor when the motor is energized. The load torque control mechanism responsive to the operating condition of the engine to control the load torque of the compressor below a predetermined value during times when the motor is driving the compressor.

Air-conditioning system for vehicle and its control method

An electric compressor includes a compression mechanism, an electric motor and a housing. The compression mechanism draws, compresses and discharges refrigerant gas. The electric motor drives the compression mechanism. The housing accommodates the compression mechanism and the electric motor. A heat sink extends from the housing. An inverter is located in the housing. The inverter powers the electric motor. A heat sink cools the inverter. The heat sink is cooled by refrigerant gas. The heat generated by the inverter is therefore effectively reduced.
