Described are methods and systems for auto framing an object of interest. A webcam of an information handling system captures a full field of view image that has a region of interest (ROI) that includes a pointing element, such as an active pen, user finger, or other such object. The ROI also includes the object of interest. An auto-framing AI/ML model detects the ROI and the pointing element and auto-frames the object of interest to which the pointing element is directed to.

System and method of enabling object auto-framing on webcam through an indicator

An information handling system camera detects ambient light and applies ambient light brightness to determine whether to color correct a captured image with ambient color temperature or a color temperature associated with a display. For example, a first RGB ambient light sensor detects ambient light from the camera field of view. When the ambient light is below a predetermined brightness, the camera image sensor processor (ISP) applies color temperature of a second RGB ambient light sensor directed at a display to perform color correction. For instance, with camera that mounts on a display top side, the second RGB ambient light sensor is disposed at the bottom of the camera and directed at the display.

A method for processing images by an information handling system includes receiving image data including first frames captured using a first exposure at a first frame rate and second frames captured using a second exposure at a second frame rate. The first frame rate is greater than the second frame rate. The method includes merging each second frame of the second frames with each first frame of a corresponding plurality of the first frames to generate a corresponding plurality of merged frames. Each merged frame of the corresponding plurality of merged frames may have a dynamic range of tonal values greater than each dynamic range of tonal values of each frame merged to form the merged frame.

Method for intelligent frame capture for high-dynamic range images

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for reducing halo artifacts of static images on a computer display. A multimedia stream is received that includes graphical images which are moving and static images as displayed on the computer display. A determination is performed if a graphical image in the multimedia stream is a static image. Additional LED zones of LEDs are turned on to provide backlighting to a computer display panel. A diming algorithm is enabled to adjust LEDs to reduce halo artifacts in the static image. Luminance correction is performed at the pixel level for the static image.

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for providing enhanced security to a wireless monitor, comprising: establishing a connection between the wireless monitor from a first device; generating a session identification for a human interface design (HID) input after the connection is established, the session identification enabling activities of an I/O device to be accepted by the wireless monitor; encrypting the activities of the I/O device to provide encrypted I/O device activities; providing the encrypted I/O device activities to the first device; and, decrypting the encrypted I/O device activities at the first device.

Securing a human interface device input to wireless display device

A monitor for an information handling system includes a video interface operable to receive first display content, a wireless interface operable to receive second display content, a first Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface, and a second USB interface. The monitor is operable to receive a first indication to display the first content and in response to receiving the first indication, to display the first content and couple the first USB interface to the second USB interface. The monitor is further operable to receive a second indication to display the second content and in response to receiving the second indication, to display the second content and couple the wireless interface to the second USB interface.
