In the case that a first scanning line having a smaller number of pixels to be driven than that of a second scanning line in a display device having a heteromorphic display region, capacitance is added to an extended scanning line in which the first scanning line extends to an outside of the display region. A large difference in RC delay between scanning lines generated by the number of pixels to be driven can be compensated for by adding the capacitance, so that luminance unevenness can be prevented to contribute to improvement of display quality.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device includes a display region, a plurality of lead-out lines led from the display region, and an application circuit that applies a voltage to liquid crystal in the display region through each of the lead-out lines. Each of the lead-out lines has a tilt portion wired with a directional component parallel to a peripheral direction enclosing the display region in a plan view, and when a difference between a voltage applied to one of the lead-out lines and a voltage applied to another one of the lead-out lines is specified as an applied voltage difference, each of the lead-out lines is wired such that, in a plan view, the taper portion of one of the lead-out lines is overlapped with the taper portion of another one of the lead-out lines having the applied voltage difference lower than a difference with adjacent one of the lead-out lines.

A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention is a liquid crystal display device in which liquid crystals are sealed between a TFT array substrate, and a counter substrate formed with a counter electrode. A plurality of scanning signal wirings and a plurality of image signal wirings are formed in a matrix on the TFT array substrate. The counter electrode is configured from a plurality of counter electrode lines. Each of the plurality of counter electrode lines is provided along a corresponding one of the plurality of scanning signal wirings or a corresponding one of the plurality of image signal wirings in plan view. Each of the plurality of counter electrode lines has a potential distribution in an extending direction. The respective potential distributions for the plurality of counter electrode lines are different.

A transflective type liquid crystal display device according to an exemplary aspect of the invention includes: a liquid crystal layer; a first sub-pixel electrode that is constituted of a transmissive region transmitting light from a back surface side to a display surface side; a second sub-pixel electrode that is constituted of a reflective region reflecting light being incident from the display surface side; and a connecting portion that electrically connects the first sub-pixel electrode and the second sub-pixel electrode to each other. The second sub-pixel electrode being constituted of the reflective region that is adjacent to the first sub-pixel electrode being constituted of the transmissive region has a reflective conductive thin film in which a hollowed out cutout portion is formed, in a region extending from the connecting portion connecting the first sub-pixel electrode and the second sub-pixel electrode to each other.

Transflective type liquid crystal display device

A mounting terminal substrate includes a substrate, mounting terminals arranged in staggered rows on the substrate, each mounting terminals includes a lower conductive film and an upper conductive film, lines that are provided between the mounting terminals in a direction of a row, an insulation film that covers the lines, and opening sections on the respective mounting terminals from which the insulation films are removed, wherein a width of the upper conductive film in the direction of the row is greater than a width of the lower conductive film in the direction of the row so as to cover the lower conductive films exposed through the opening sections and is equal to or smaller than a width of the opening section in the direction of the row.
