A charging device includes: a plurality of legs including respective upper and lower arms having respective switching elements, the upper and lower arms being connected to a battery and a negative pole of a DC charger, respectively; a motor having three phases with a neutral point connected to a positive pole of the DC charger; a driver that drives the switching elements with respective PWM signals; and a controller that monitors a current from the legs to the battery, and instructs the driver to apply duty ratios of the PWM signals so that a fluctuation width of the monitored current is reduced. Further, the controller monitors the measurement result of the sensor at a period other than 1/N of a period of a carrier of the PWM signals, where N is a number of the plurality of legs used for charging the battery.

Charging device

An electric vehicle includes a traction motor, an inverter that supplies the motor with an alternating current, three current sensors that respectively measure current of each phase of the alternating current output by the inverter, the alternating current being a three phase alternating current; and a controller that controls the motor through the inverter. The controller is configured to, when one of the current sensors becomes unusable, identify the unusable current sensor while controlling the motor with a d-axis voltage command value set to zero and a q-axis voltage command value set to a non-zero value.

Electric vehicle and diagnosis method for electric vehicle

The power supply device includes a plurality of boost converters connected in parallel to boost and supply power from the power storage device, and a control device for controlling each of the boost converters. When the electronic control unitcannot operate the plurality of boost converters by the feedback control, the control device operates only one of the plurality of boost converters by the feed forward control.

Power supply device

A power supply device comprises a first boost converter configured to transmit electric power with conversion of a voltage between an electric load side and a power storage device side; a second boost converter connected in parallel to the first boost converter relative to an electric load and configured to transmit electric power with conversion of a voltage between the electric load side and the power storage side; and a control device configured to control the first boost converter and the second boost converter. At a predetermined time, the control device performs a loop current control that controls the first boost converter and the second boost converter such that a loop current flows in a closed circuit including the first boost converter and the second boost converter.

A drive device comprises a plurality of boost converters connected in parallel to each other and placed between a power storage device side and an electric load side; a drive mode setting switch operated to set a drive mode among a plurality of drive modes; and a control device configured to control the plurality of boost converters by employing one control mode including a first control mode that drives and controls only some boost converters out of the plurality of boost converters and a second control mode that drives and controls a larger number of boost converters than some boost converters. The control device changes a switchover reference value that is used to switch over control between the first control mode and the second control mode according to the magnitude of an electric load, based on a drive mode set by operation of the drive mode setting switch.

Drive device

A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a first rotating electrical machine (first MG), a second rotating electrical machine (second MG), a planetary gear mechanism which mechanically couples these devices, a first inverter which drives the first MG, a second inverter which drives the second MG, and a controller. When the controller receives a fail signal from the first inverter, the controller performs shut-down control which brings the first inverter into a gate shut-down state with fuel supply to the engine being stopped. When the absolute value of an engine rotation speed Ne is more than or equal to a predetermined value &#x3b1; and the absolute value of a rotation speed Nm1 of the first MG is less than a threshold value &#x3b2; after the shut-down control is started, the controller determines that the first inverter has a short-circuit fault.

Hybrid vehicle

The electric motor vehicle includes a voltage conversion circuit, a primary-side smoothing capacitor, a battery, a system main relay, an inverter circuit, a secondary-side smoothing capacitor, an electric motor, a first voltage sensor, a collision sensor, and a controller. The controller is configured to adjust an operation of the voltage conversion circuit, detect primary-side voltage by using the first voltage sensor in a state that the voltage conversion circuit is operated in a case where a collision is detected by the collision sensor, and detect a state that the system main relay is off based on a change in the detected primary-side voltage.

Electric motor vehicle

A motor control system include an inverter configured to convert boosted direct-current electric power output from a boost converter to alternating-current electric power and supply the alternating-current electric power to an alternating current motor, and a control unit configured to adjust boosted voltage of the boost converter. The control unit includes an optimal boosted voltage map which defines optimal boosted voltage for operating the alternating current motor with a required number of revolutions and required torque, and a boosted voltage changing program that sets boosted voltage of the boost converter to a voltage which is higher than an optimal boosted voltage when the carrier frequency is a predetermined threshold value or lower.

Motor control system

A power conversion circuit includes first to fourth switching elements connected in series between ground and high voltage electrical paths, a first reactor, a main battery, a second reactor, a sub battery, a high voltage sensor for detecting a high voltage VH between the ground and high voltage electrical paths, and a controller. Upon issuance of an instruction for turning off all of the first to fourth switching elements, the controller determines that the third switching element is experiencing an ON failure when the high voltage VH is equal to the sum of a battery voltage VBof the main battery and a battery voltage VBof the sub battery, to thereby allow electrical power to be transferred between the batteries and a load even in the event of occurrence of the ON failure in the switching element.

Power conversion circuit

Disclosed is an electric power conversion control device, in which when an overvoltage abnormality of an electric power system is detected, and it is detected that a vehicle is not in collision, a switching control unit stops the switching of an inverter, whereby an element of the inverter is prevented from being subjected to an overvoltage. In a case where an overvoltage abnormality of the electric power system is detected, and when it is detected that the vehicle is in collision, the switching control unit performs the switching of the inverter, whereby electrical energy of the electric power system is rapidly consumed by a motor generator. Accordingly, it is possible to properly control the switching of an electric converter depending on whether an overvoltage abnormality occurs and a vehicle is in collision.
