A method for optimization of alignment of pixels of X different types on a sensor array for the performance of N different camera tasks, where X and N are integers greater than 1, includes obtaining an output of each of the X types of pixel on the sensor array for an input image; evaluating the quality of the output for each of the N different camera tasks; and obtaining an optimal pixel alignment pattern by adjustment of a potential pixel alignment pattern with respect to performance of the N different camera tasks subject to a user-determined balance of priorities among the N different camera tasks.

The controller controls, at an exposure timing based on a predicted exposure timing at which a state of a subject shot at a first frame rate is predicted to satisfy a predetermined condition, the exposure section at a second frame rate. A control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a control apparatus that controls an imaging device including a variable optical lowpass filter and an imaging element that generates image data from light incident via the variable optical lowpass filter. This control apparatus includes a first deriving unit and a second deriving unit. The first deriving unit derives a resolution deterioration amount and a false color generation amount on the basis of a plurality of pieces of image data generated by the imaging element through driving the imaging element while changing an effect of the variable optical lowpass filter. The second deriving unit derives a set value of the variable optical lowpass filter on the basis of the resolution deterioration amount and the false color generation amount derived by the first deriving unit.

Control apparatus and imaging apparatus

A display control apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a display controller that performs enhancement on a region where resolution is changed in response to changing of lowpass characteristics or a region where false color is generated or changed in response to changing of the lowpass characteristics in image data generated on the basis of light incident via a lowpass filter.
