An image forming apparatus includes a first leg part that supports a housing; a second leg part that supports the housing at a position away from the first leg part; and a third leg part that supports the housing, the third leg part being disposed, so as to be pivotable relative to the housing, at a position where a triangle is formed by connecting the first leg part, the second leg part, and the third leg part.

A frame includes a base frame that is formed of a framework formed in a substantially rectangular shape by square pipes and is provided with plural cutout portions on the lower surface sides of the square pipes that are long sides of the framework, a bracket that includes a plate section on which a caster is mounted, and in which a portion of the plate section is fitted into the cutout portion, and the caster that is mounted on the plate section and located further to the inside than an outer periphery of the framework when the base frame is viewed from the upper surface side.

A connection mechanism includes a protrusion, a plate section, and a movable section. The protrusion has a distal end, which has a spherical surface and a tapered surface, and a support that supports the distal end. The plate section is provided with a hole for positioning the protrusion when the support is inserted thereto. The movable section faces a side of the hole where the tapered surface of the distal end exists, and moves along the plate section by being pressed by the tapered surface of the distal end as the distal end is inserted through the hole.
