A battery controller that controls a battery for supplying power to a load apparatus, includes a current detection unit that detects a discharge current and a charge current of the battery, a malfunction detection unit that detects malfunction of a voltage detector for detecting a voltage of the battery, and a contactor control unit that is provided on a power supply line through which the discharge current and the charge current flow to open/close a contactor. The contactor control unit integrates the charge and discharge current when the malfunction of the voltage detector is detected, calculates an actual charge current amount obtained by subtracting an integrated value of the discharge current from an integrated value of the charge current, and prohibits charging/discharging of the battery by controlling the contactor when the actual charge current amount is equal to or more than a predetermined value.

Battery controller

A circuit includes a vehicle-side circuit, a charger-side circuit and a connecting part. The vehicle-side circuit includes a power source, a first resistor provided between the power source and the connecting part, a second resistor which is connected to the first resistor in series, a switch which turns on or off current supply from the power source, a voltage detector which detects a voltage at a connection point of the first resistor and the second resistor, a determining part which determines a state of connection between a vehicle-side connector and a charger-side connector and occurrenceof a failure in the vehicle-side circuit based at least in part on the voltage detected by the voltage detector and an on/off state of the switch.

Connection detecting circuit

A vehicle electric battery controlling apparatus is applied to a vehicle including an on-board charger to charge a battery in the vehicle with power supplied from an external power source, a heater to warm the battery, and a DC-DC converter to reduce the voltage of power from the battery and then supply the battery power to the heater. The vehicle electric battery controlling apparatus includes a DC-DC converter controller to drive the DC-DC converter to supply the battery power to the heater before the charge of the battery by the on-board charger, and an on-board charger controller to drive the on-board charger such that the power source for the heater is gradually shifted from the battery to the external power source, after the DC-DC converter is driven.

Vehicle electric battery controlling apparatus

A vehicle controlling system includes a high-voltage circuit including a motor for driving a vehicle and a generator driven by an engine; an intermediate-voltage circuit including a battery and having a potential lower than the potential of the high-voltage circuit; a low-voltage circuit having a potential lower than the potential of the intermediate-voltage circuit, accessories being disposed to the low-voltage circuit; a transformer disposed between the high-voltage circuit and the intermediate-voltage circuit; and a down converter disposed between the intermediate-voltage circuit and the low-voltage circuit. The controlling system further includes a generator controller to control the generator such that the generator generates power equal to or higher than the sum of power consumed by the motor and power output from the transformer to the intermediate-voltage circuit at a temperature of the battery lower than a predetermined temperature, and a transformer controller to control the transformer such that the transformer outputs power equal to or lower than power output from the down converter to the low-voltage circuit at a temperature of the battery lower than the predetermined temperature.

Vehicle controlling system

A control unit for a vehicle, which comprises an engine, a driving motor, an engaging/disengaging device, and a voltage raising device, includes a switching control unit and a voltage raising control unit controlling the voltage raising device. The switching control unit switches between a first driving mode in which the vehicle is driven by a driving force of the driving motor with the engaging/disengaging device released and a second driving mode in which the vehicle is driven by the driving force of the engine with the engaging/disengaging device engaged. In a case where a driving mode is switched from the first driving mode to the second driving mode, the switching control unit starts an engagement of the engaging/disengaging device and switches the driving mode to the second driving mode, after the voltage raising control unit starts the voltage raising control in the first driving mode.
