An image pickup apparatus having a layout preventing a detection unit from being blocked is provided. The image pickup apparatus including a housing and a display unit disposed on a rear surface of the housing includes a user state detection unit to detect a state of a user, a rear surface gripping portion disposed on a right side on a substantial extension line in a longitudinal direction of the display unit, and a front surface gripping portion disposed on a front surface of the housing and corresponding to the rear surface gripping portion. The user state detection unit is disposed at a position closer to a left side of the display unit than to a right side thereof and preventing a detection range of the user state detection unit from being blocked by a hand of the user when the user grips and operates the image pickup apparatus.

An apparatus includes a light source configured to emit a light beam based on image data, a projection unit configured to project the light beam onto a pupil of a user, and at least one processor and a memory coupled to the processor storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to function as: an obtaining unit configured to obtain position information on a projection area through which the light beam to be projected onto a retina of the user passes, and a control unit configured to control a projection image to be projected onto the retina with the light beam based on the image data. The control unit controls the light source such that the projection image is changed based on the position information on the projection area and a position of the light beam.

An electronic device includes a body frame formed by mating first to third members. The first and second members each include first to third mating surfaces. Electronic device

An electronic apparatus reduced in a space surrounding a battery chamber and capable of stably supplying electric power. The electronic apparatus is provided with a battery chamber into and from which a battery for supplying electric power is inserted and removed. The battery chamber is defined by an exterior cover forming part of the appearance of the electronic apparatus, and the exterior cover is provided with a battery holding member that defines, when the battery is inserted into the battery chamber, a position of the battery in a direction of insertion thereof. A battery contact member is brought into contact with a terminal provided on the battery to thereby supply electric power from the battery to the electronic apparatus.

An imaging apparatus includes a movable unit in which a display unit is rotatable by a hinge part in an opening and closing direction with respect to a device body. A magnet is disposed in the vicinity of the hinge part and an opening and closing sensor detects the opening and closing of the movable unit by detecting a magnetic field of the magnet. A magnetizing direction of the magnet is a direction perpendicular to an opening and closing axis of the movable unit, the opening and closing sensor detects the magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to the opening and closing axis, and a control unit obtains a detection signal of the opening and closing sensor and controls a display state of the display unit.

A first holder holds a first mirror and is movable between a first position in an optical path and a second position retracted from the optical path. A second holder holding a second mirror in a state rotatably attached to the first holder is movable between a third position in the optical path and a fourth position retracted from the optical path. An MPU causes an mirror drive unit to rotate the second holder in the third position toward the first holder in the first position, after termination of focus detection when the first and second holder are in the first and third positions, respectively, and before image pickup is instructed, to thereby move the second holder to a fifth position closer to the first holder than the third position is.
