A rubber composition manufacturing method comprises an operation in which at least rubber, silica, and silane coupling agent are kneaded in an internal kneader at not less than a temperature lower limit for a coupling reaction between the silica and the silane coupling agent to proceed. For at least a portion of time during which that operation is being carried out, a compressed gas is delivered to the kneading chamber while the ram is in a nonpressing state.

Rubber composition manufacturing method, tire manufacturing method, and rubber composition manufacturing apparatus

A rubber composition according to an embodiment includes: a rubber component comprising diene rubber; and fine particles which are formed of a specific polymer and have a glass transition point of &#x2212;70&#xb0; C. to 0&#xb0; C. The fine particles are fine particles formed of a (meth)acrylate polymer having a constitutional unit represented by formula (1) or formed of a polymer having a constitutional unit represented by formula (4). In formula (1), Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and Rrepresents an alkyl group having 4 to 18 carbon atoms. In formula (4), at least one of R, R, R, R, R, and Rrepresents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, and the remainder represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms. 

Rubber composition and pneumatic tire

A run flat tire having a side reinforcing rubber part is disclosed. The side reinforcing rubber part is formed by a rubber composition having a ratio (M50H/M50N) of tensile stress (M50H) in 50% elongation at a measurement temperature of 100&#xb0; C. to tensile stress (M50N) in 50% elongation at a measurement temperature of 23&#xb0; C. of from 1.0 to 1.3. A ratio (M50H/M50F) of tensile stress (M50H) in 50% elongation at a measurement temperature of 100&#xb0; C. of the rubber composition forming the side reinforcing rubber part to tensile stress (M50F) in 50% elongation at a measurement temperature of 100&#xb0; C. of a rubber composition forming a bead filler is from 0.5 to 1.3.

Run flat tire

A method for producing a rubber composition that can improve wet grip performance is provided. The rubber composition includes 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, from 20 to 150 parts by mass of silica, and from 1 to 10 parts by mass of a polymer gel as crosslinked diene polymer particles, wherein from 30 to 90 parts by mass of at least one modified diene rubber selected from the group consisting of a styrene-butadiene rubber, a butadiene rubber and a natural rubber, each having introduced therein a functional group having an interaction with the silica, and from 70 to 10 parts by mass of an unmodified dine rubber are used as 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and a polymer gel having a functional group which has an interaction with a functional group of the modified diene rubber is used as the polymer gel.
