A sole includes: a midsole located to continuously extend from a forefoot portion to a rearfoot portion; and a reinforcing member formed of a material higher in rigidity than a material forming the midsole and disposed on a bottom surface of the midsole. The reinforcing member includes: a first bar located to extend at least in the forefoot portion and the midfoot portion and extending along a lateral foot-side end portion of the midsole; and a second bar located in the forefoot portion, having one end connected to the first bar, and extending in an oblique direction to extend rearward toward a medial foot side.

An upper includes an upper body covering the instep of a foot. An upper body includes a first layer, a second layer disposed with a gap from the first layer, and a third layer connecting the first layer and the second layer. A part of the upper body is disposed with a low stiffness region having lower stiffness than an adjacent region. At least a part of the low stiffness region has a point in which the third layer is not disposed. A plurality of holes is disposed in at least a part of a portion of the first layer and the second layer of the low stiffness region corresponding to the point in which the third layer is not disposed.

A shoe tongue structure includes a first shoe tongue and a second shoe tongue arranged such as to cover an opening of an upper extending frontward from a foot insertion part. The present invention provides a shoe having a simpler structure compared to patent document JP-A 2010-162318, with reduced discomfort and enhanced repulsive force. According to an aspect of certain embodiments of the present invention, a shoecomprising: a middle solehaving a foot contacting surfaceand a ground contacting surface; an upper at least partially covering the foot contacting surfaceof the middle sole; and an elastic structurecurving upwards towards the rear direction at least from the outer foot side of the ground contacting surface is provided. With such configuration, discomfort can be reduced and repulsive force can be enhanced.

There is provided a footwear capable of efficiently removing vibrations of specific frequencies that could propagate to the human body upon landing during running or walking. A footwear includes a sole; an upper connected to an upper-side perimeter region of the sole; and a vibration absorbing unit which absorbs vibration generated by an impact upon landing. The vibration absorbing unit includes a platy flexible support portion which has a smaller rigidity in the vertical direction than in the horizontal direction, and a weight portion provided in the support portion. The support portion is fixed to the sole or the upper, surrounding a perimeter of the weight portion.
