The objective of the invention is to provide a gas barrier resin composition that is excellent in oxygen absorbability and further excellent in adhesiveness to olefin resins, a structure comprising the same, and a multi-layer structure comprising the same. The oxygen-absorbing gas barrier resin composition disclosed comprises a cyclized product of a conjugated diene polymer and an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer having a specified oxygen permeation rate. The oxygen-absorbing gas barrier resin composition further comprises an &#x3b1;-olefin resin. The oxygen-absorbing gas barrier structure is obtained by molding the subject oxygen-absorbing gas barrier resin composition. The oxygen-absorbing gas barrier multi-layer structure comprises a layer of the subject oxygen-absorbing gas barrier structure and a sealing material layer.

The softening agent (A2) is preferably liquid paraffin or polybutene. The resin (B) is preferably a (terephthalic acid)/(cyclohexanedimethanol) copolymer polyester or a polyamide resin.

An object of the invention is to provide a laminate which is good in adhesiveness between a substrate and a thin film laminated thereon by a dry film-forming method such as a chemical vapor growth method or a vacuum evaporation method even if the substrate is a polymer substrate made of a nonpolar polymer; and a process for producing the same. In order to attain the above-mentioned object, the invention provides a laminate comprising a polymer substrate, a primer layer comprising a cyclized rubber which is a conjugated diene polymer cyclized product or a derivative thereof, the layer being formed on the surface of the polymer substrate, and a thin film laminated on the surface of the primer layer by a dry film-forming method; and a process for producing the same.

To provide an oxygen-absorbing barrier resin composition which has excellent oxygen-barrier properties even under high-humidity conditions and can give a multilayer structure having excellent peel strength; an oxygen-absorbing barrier film comprising the oxygen-absorbing barrier resin composition; a multilayer structure including a layer comprising the oxygen-absorbing barrier film; and a packing container comprising the multilayer structure. The oxygen-absorbing barrier resin composition comprises a resin (A) having an oxygen permeability of at most 100 cc/m-day-atm and a resin (B) having an oxygen absorption rate of at least 0.001 cc/cm&#xb7;day, wherein the resin (B) is dispersed in the matrix of the resin (A) and the resin (B) is in the form of rods in which the average of the maximum diameters of cross sections perpendicular to the lengthwise direction is at most 1.0 &#x3bc;m. The resin (B) preferably is a product of cyclization of a conjugated diene polymer, the cyclization product having an unsaturated bond reduction ratio of at least 10%.

The present invention provides an oxygen absorber which exhibits a high oxygen-absorbing ability even if a transition metal salt as a catalyst for making oxygen-absorbing ability high is not added thereto and further keeps a high mechanical strength even after the absorber absorbs oxygen. An oxygen absorber containing a cyclized conjugated diene polymer as an active ingredient. About the cyclized conjugated diene polymer, the percent decrease in unsaturated-bond amount is preferably 10% or more and the weight-average molecular weight preferably ranges 1,000 to 1,000,000. The oxygen absorber may further contain a thermoplastic resin. The content of an antioxidant in the oxygen absorber is preferably 500 ppm or lower. The oxygen absorber is in a film, sheet or powder form.

The invention provides a novel block copolymer which can significantly improve the adhesion between a molded product composed of a nonpolar polymer such as polypropylene or polyethylene and a coating material or a molded product composed of a polar polymer, as well as a method for producing the same. Disclosed is a block copolymer comprising at least one poly (aromatic vinyl) block having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 to 500,000 and at least one cyclized poly (conjugated diene) block, as well as an oxygen scavenger and a modifier for polymer molding material, which comprise the block copolymer as an active ingredient.

A main object of the invention is to provide a polar-group-containing cyclized rubber making it possible to improve remarkable the adhesiveness between paint and a molded product made of a nonpolar polymer such as polypropylene or polyethylene, and a process for producing the same. The present invention has a main object to provide a modifier for hydrocarbon polymer that improves a coatability of a surface of a hydrocarbon polymer molding. To attain the object, the present invention provides a modifier for hydrocarbon polymer which contains, as an active component, a modified cyclic structure-containing conjugated diene polymer wherein an amount of an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid compound bonded by addition is from 0.1 to 20% by weight and a cyclization ratio is from 30 to 95%; and provides a hydrocarbon polymer composition comprising the modifier for hydrocarbon polymer and a hydrocarbon polymer; and provides a molding by molding the hydrocarbon polymer composition.
