In the present invention, a partition wall which partitions a discharge port and a suction port provided on a static passage, in the rotating direction, has a discharge side shape which is identical with the shape of blades, and has a positional relationship in which the partition wall does not overlap with the discharge port in view of such a fact that the pressure variation on the suction side is higher than that of the discharge side, and noise on the suction side is dominant.

The present invention aims at providing a diagonal flow fan or a silencer for the diagonal flow fan, which have the same outer shape as a suction port and are compact, and can also obtain an effective sound absorbing effect of a moderate frequency range. In the diagonal flow fan comprising a diagonal flow impellerdisposed with a bladeso as to obliquely send an air to an axis of rotation, a fan casingfor covering this diagonal flow impeller, and a suction portfor sucking the fluid in the direction to the axis of rotation of this fan casing, the open front side of the suction portis provided with a silencing portion comprising a shieldand a punching metal, so that the noise of the moderate frequency range of 500 to 1000 Hz generated in the diagonal flow fan was suppressed.

Diagonal flow fan

A blower comprising: a vane wheel including a pair of grooves, and blades extending in a radial direction of the vane wheel in each groove, and a casing including stationary flow paths facing to the grooves respectively so that the gas urged in the grooves is capable of flowing in a circumferential direction in the stationary flow paths, a guide flow path extending in the axial directions to fluidly communicate with both of the stationary flow paths to enable the gas to flow from one of the stationary flow paths to the other one of the stationary flow paths, an inlet port for introducing the gas into the one of the stationary flow paths facing to the one of the grooves and an outlet port for discharging the gas out of the other one of the stationary flow paths facing to the other one of the grooves.
