A process for fabricating a thin film semiconductor device includes the following steps, but not necessarily in the noted order. Firstly, a thin film of organic semiconductor material is deposited onto a substrate. This thin film of organic semiconductor material comprises organic semiconductor material that comprises one or more aryl dicarboxylic diimidazole-based compounds of claimsuch that the film exhibits a field effect electron mobility that is greater than 0.005 cm/Vs. Then, the process includes forming a spaced apart source electrode and drain electrode, wherein the source electrode and the drain electrode are separated by and electrically connected with, the n-channel semiconductor film. A gate electrode is then formed, spaced apart from the semiconductor material. One or more of the thin film semiconductor devices (or transistors) can be incorporated into an electronic device.

The present invention relates to a photosensitive organic semiconductor composition comprising an organic p-type semiconductor pigment with a p-type conducting polymer, wherein the ionization potentials of the organic p-type semiconductor pigment and the p-type conducting polymer are nominally equivalent and a photosensitive organic semiconductor composition comprising an organic n-type semiconductor pigment with an n-type conducting polymer, wherein the electron affinities of the organic semiconductor pigment and the conducting polymer are nominally equivalent. Inkjet printing method

An imaging member, such as a negative-working printing plate or on-press cylinder, has an imaging layer comprised of a thermally sensitive compound and a photothermal conversion material. The thermally sensitive compound comprises a heat-activatable bisulfite adduct and can be a polymer or a small molecule compound. In the imaging member, the thermally sensitive compound reacts to provide increased hydrophobicity in areas exposed to energy that provides or generates heat. The imaging layer is considered 'switchable' and can be used to provide a lithographic printing image without traditional alkaline wet processing.

A method to reduce effluence during or immediately after imaging of a printing plate is described. In one embodiment of the invention, the method comprises: (a) applying to a substrate a coating composition comprising a photothermal converter and at least one polymer comprising thiosulfate groups to obtain a coating; and (b) applying a water soluble topcoat to the coating. Preferably, the water soluble topcoat does not comprise a photothermal converter. In another embodiment of the invention, the method comprises applying to a substrate a composition comprising: (a) a photothermal converter; (b) at least one polymer comprising thiosulfate groups; and (c) an additive selected from the group consisting of diazonium, iodonium, copper(I), alkoxypyridinium or maleimide additives.
