A cover assembly includes a cover plate including a gas vent, a gas exhaust valve configured to seal the gas vent and deform in response to an increase in temperature to get out of a state of sealing the gas vent, and a sealing part. The gas exhaust valve includes a metal sheet and a fixing part. The metal sheet seals the gas vent. The sealing part is arranged between the metal sheet and the cover plate for sealing a gap between the metal sheet and the cover plate. The fixing part is connected to the metal sheet. The metal sheet is fixed to the cover plate by the fixing part. The fixing part is configured to deform in response to an increase in temperature in such a manner that the metal sheet gets out of the state of sealing the gas vent.

The present application relates to the field of an energy storage device, and more particularly, to a top cover assembly of a secondary battery, the secondary battery and an apparatus using a battery. The top cover assembly includes: a top cover sheet provided with an explosion-proof hole; an explosion-proof sheet, a position of the explosion-proof sheet corresponding to the explosion hole; and a fixing member, at least part of the fixing member being located between the top cover sheet and the explosion-proof sheet and connecting the top cover sheet and the explosion-proof sheet; where one of the explosion-proof hole and the fixing member is provided with a protrusion and the other is provided with a first groove, and the protrusion and the first groove are fixed.

The cover assembly includes: a cover plate including a gas vent; a gas exhaust valve configured to seal the gas vent and deform in response to an increase in temperature to get out of a state of sealing the gas vent; and a protective part at least partially covering the gas vent and having a gas permeability coefficient smaller than a gas permeability coefficient of the gas exhaust valve.

This application relates to a cover assembly of a secondary battery. The cover assembly includes a cover plate with an air hole; a blocker inserted into and blocking the air hole; a sealing member disposed between the blocker and the cover plate configured to seal a gap between the blocker and the cover plate; and a fastener disposed inside the air hole. The fastener is connected to the cover plate, the blocker is connected to the cover plate through the fastener. The fastener is configured to deform in response to a temperature rise, so that the blocker stops blocking the air hole. The blocker stops blocking the air hole as a temperature inside a housing rises, to discharge gas from the housing through the air hole. In this way, the secondary battery can be prevented from an explosion, while partial heat is taken away through gas discharge.
