Systems and methods for TCI state activation and codepoint to TCI state mapping are provided. A method performed by a wireless device for activating TCI states includes one or more of: being configured to monitor a plurality of DCI formats with the TCI field for PDSCH reception; receiving a single MAC CE to activate TCI states and map activated TCI states to the TCI field codepoints of the DCI formats; and receiving separate MAC CEs to activate TCI states and map activated TCI states to the TCI field codepoints of each of the plurality of DCI formats. As such, TCI states for downlink scheduling can be more flexibly chosen for each DCI format by using separate MAC CEs. Additionally, default TCI state definitions might be provided when state activation and state to TCI field codepoint mapping to multiple DCI formats are provided by either a single or different MAC CEs.

Systems and methods for TCI state activation and codepoint to TCI state mapping

Dynamic indication of multi-Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission is provided. A solution is proposed to use an antenna port field (e.g., a Demodulation Reference Signal (DM-RS) port indication field) in Downlink Control Information (DCI) to jointly indicate both the DM-RS ports and the scheme used for a PDSCH transmission. When more than one Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) state is indicated in a DCI, a new DM-RS table is used in which a DM-RS port allocation is also linked to a transmission scheme. The solution enables flexible PDSCH scheduling without introducing additional DCI overhead.

Dynamic indication of multi-TRP PDSCH transmission schemes

Systems and methods related to prioritization of non-zero coefficients for Channel State Information (CSI) for Coherent Joint Transmission (CJT) are disclosed. Embodiments of a UE and corresponding embodiments of a method performed by a UE for CJT CSI feedback in which non-zero coefficients of a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) feedback are prioritized are disclosed. Embodiment of a network node and corresponding embodiment of a method performed by a network node for CJT CSI feedback in which non-zero coefficients of a PMI feedback are prioritized are also disclosed.

Priority rules for CSI reports for coherent joint transmission

Systems and methods to support Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) multi-Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) scheduling are provided. In some embodiments, the wireless device performs one or more of: obtaining a configuration for Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states for Uplink (UL) PUSCH scheduling; activating/deactivating a subset of configured TCI states). If two TCI states are indicated, the wireless device transmits two different PUSCHs each corresponding to one of the indicated TCI states. If one TCI state is indicated, the wireless device transmits a single PUSCH corresponding to the indicated TCI state. The wireless device maps indicated TCI states to the transmission occasions or actual repetitions is preconfigured via higher layer parameter(s) or is given by a predefined rule. The wireless device applies a Transmitted Precoding Matrix Indicator (TPMI) to transmission occasions or actual repetitions associated with each indicated TCI state based on a signaled value and/or a predefined value.

PUSCH multiple TRP reliability with UL TCI indication

Systems and methods for multiple Downlink Control Information (DCI) based Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) scheduling are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method performed by a User Equipment (UE) comprises receiving first and second Physical Downlink Control Channels (PDCCHs) carrying first and second DCIs in first and second Control Resource Sets (CORESETs) in first and second time periods (t1, t2), respectively, wherein t1≤t2. The method further comprises receiving first and second PDSCHs scheduled by the first and second DCIs in third and fourth time periods (t3, t4), respectively, wherein the first and second PDSCHs are associated with a same Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process and a same Transport Block (TB), and t3≤t4. The method further comprises sending first and second HARQ ACK/NACKs in first and second Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resources in fifth and sixth time periods (t5, t6), respectively, wherein t5≤t6 and t4≤t5.

Multi-DCI based PDSCH scheduling for URLLC

Systems and methods related to indicating starting symbols of multiple transmission occasions in a cellular communications system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device includes receiving an indication of transmission occasions for respective downlink transmissions to the wireless communication device, at least two of the downlink transmissions associated to different transmission configuration indication states. The method further includes receiving an indication of a starting symbol and a length of a first transmission occasion of the transmission occasions and receiving an indication of a particular offset value that is to be applied for determining a starting symbol of a second transmission occasion of the transmission occasions. The method further includes determining a starting symbol of the second transmission occasion based on the starting symbol of the first transmission occasion, the length of the first transmission occasion, and the particular offset value.

Systems and methods for signaling starting symbols in multiple PDSCH transmission occasions

A method for repeating a Transport Block (TB) over multiple transmission occasions. The method includes exchanging specific signaling between a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment) and a network node (e.g., a base station) to repeat same or different redundancy versions of the TB in multiple non-overlapping transmission occasions (e.g., mini-slots) corresponding to multiple Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states and having different start positions. More specifically, the network node transmits a Time Domain Resource Allocation (TDRA) to indicate the multiple non-overlapping transmission occasions and the wireless device receives the TDRA indicating the multiple non-overlapping transmission occasions. Accordingly, the wireless device can receive repetition of the TB according to the TDRA. By indicating transmission occasions in the TDRA, it is possible to efficiently schedule multiple transmission occasions over the multiple TCI states, thus helping to improve efficiency, reliability, and coverage in a wireless communications network.

Method for repeating a transport block (TB) over multiple transmission/reception points (TRPs)

Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) resource allocation with multiple TRPs is provided. Embodiments described herein provide details to facilitate multi-Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) transmission on the PUSCH with respect to User Equipment (UE) implementation and application scenarios. A gap between consecutive PUSCH transmission instances toward different TRPs (e.g., transmission associated with different spatial transmission filters) can be signaled, either semi-statically or dynamically. In case of dynamic signaling, the gap may be configured in a Time Domain Resource Allocation (TDRA) table and indicated in Downlink Control Information (DCI). In case of semi-static signaling, it may be done by Radio Resource Control (RRC).

PUSCH resource allocation with multiple TRPs

Systems and methods are disclosed for single Control Resource Set (CORESET) based Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) diversity over multiple Transmission/Reception Points (TRPs). In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving a message(s) that activates first and second TCI states for a CORESET comprising first and second sets of resource elements (REs) associated to the first and second TCI states, respectively, and receiving a configuration of PDCCH candidates comprising PDCCH candidates for each of one or more aggregation levels (ALs) in a search space (SS) set. Each PDCCH candidate comprises REs in the first and second sets of REs. The method further comprises receiving a Downlink Control Information (DCI) carried by: (a) a single PDCCH in one PDCCH candidate or (b) first and second repetitions of a PDCCH in the first and second set of REs, respectively.

Single coreset based PDCCH diversity over multiple TRPs

Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to a method performed by a wireless communication device. The method includes receiving, from a network node, information that configures the wireless communication device for a Configured Grant (CG) based Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission with PUSCH repetitions towards two or more transmissions/reception points (TRPs). The method includes performing the CG based PUSCH transmission with PUSCH repetitions towards the multiple TRPs in accordance with the received information.

Configured grant based PUSCH transmission to multiple TRPs

Indication of Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states for aperiodic Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS) with low configuration overhead is provided. More specifically, methods performed by a wireless device(s) and a base station(s) for indicating a configuration parameter(s) for triggering aperiodic CSI-RS are provided. The methods disclosed herein make it possible for triggering aperiodic CSI-RS with multiple options (e.g., any of indicated TCI states and/or Quasi Co-Located relationships). As a result, it is possible to significantly reduce configuration overhead related to indicating aperiodic CSI-RS.

Indication of TCI states for aperiodic CSI-RS with low configuration overhead

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for improving the reliability of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission and reception. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device for reception of PDCCH repetitions over multiple control resource sets (CORESETs) in a cellular communications system comprises receiving a configuration of a first CORESET and a second CORESET. The method further comprises receiving, from one or more network nodes, a first repetition of a PDCCH carrying downlink control information (DCI) in the first CORESET and a second repetition of the PDCCH carrying the same DCI in the second CORESET, wherein the first and second repetitions of the PDCCH have either: (a) different channel encoding or (b) a same channel encoding. The method further comprises decoding the DCI based on the first repetition of the PDCCH and/or the second repetition of the PDCCH.

PDCCH reliability enhancements with multiple TRPs

A method and apparatus are disclosed for rate matching. In one embodiment, a user equipment is configured to receive at least two physical downlink shared channels, PDSCHs; a first PDSCH of the at least two PDSCHs being associated with a first set of cell-specific reference signal, CRS, patterns and a second PDSCH of the at least two PDSCHs being associated with a second set of CRS patterns; and the at least two PDSCHs being rate matched around at least one of the first set of CRS patterns and the second set of CRS patterns. Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining and indicating antenna ports in Downlink Control Information (DCI). In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving a configuration comprising a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) configuration and an antenna port field configuration for an antenna port field in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format. The method further comprises receiving a DCI of the DCI format and determining a size of an antenna port field and a DMRS port table for interpreting a value comprised in the antenna port field based on the DMRS and antenna port field configurations, the determined DMRS port table being a subset of a master DMRS port table. Systems and methods for determining and indicating antenna ports with configurable antenna port field in DCI

Systems and methods for determining Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states for multiple transmission occasions are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: receiving a configuration including: a list of TCI states; a TCI activation command in activating a subset of the TCI states and mapping between each of the codepoints to activated TCI states; and a time threshold; receiving in a slot a scheduling message scheduling the transmission occasions; determining time offsets between receiving the scheduling message and each transmission occasion; determining a TCI state for each transmission occasion if at least one time offset is less than the time threshold; and receiving the transmission occasions with the determined TCI states. The proposed solutions ensure consistent UE behavior and allow for more robust PDSCH transmission over multiple TRPs.
