An anchor stent assembly to be used with a valve component includes a generally tubular frame having a first end and a second end, the frame defining a central passage and a central axis. Ophthalmic systems and methods of changing an optical power of an ophthalmic system are described. In an example, the ophthalmic system includes an accommodating intraocular device shaped to be implantable in an eye and an extraocular device separate from the accommodating intraocular device shaped to be removably mountable to a portion of the eye outside a bulb of the eye, such as an underlid portion of the eye. In an example, the method includes wirelessly transmitting power from a power source of an extraocular device removably mounted outside a bulb of an eye to an accommodating intraocular device implanted in the eye. In an example, the method includes sensing with an accommodation sensor biological accommodation signals of the eye; generating accommodation control signals representative of the biological accommodation signals; and driving an accommodation actuator disposed in the accommodating intraocular device based on the accommodation control signals to change an optical power of the ophthalmic system.

Distal tips for use with delivery catheters are disclosed that are configured to maintain complete engagement between the distal tip and a distal opening of a sheath component of the delivery catheter so as to prevent separation therebetween and/or to prevent fish-mouthing of a distal leading edge of the sheath component during in vivo use. Distal tips so configured realize one or more of the objectives of safer tracking of the delivery catheter through the vasculature, safe crossing of the delivery catheter through structural components of the vasculature and heart, such as through native valves, and safe removal of the delivery catheter post deployment.

A delivery system for delivering a medical device through a vasculature can include a capsule for housing the medical device during delivery and a marker band rotatably fixed to the capsule. The marker band can include a band portion and a single indicator protruding from the band portion. The indicator can allow the rotational orientation of the marker band to be determined while the medical device is in the vasculature, the rotational orientation being around a central axis of the vasculature. A delivery system for delivering a medical device through a vasculature includes a capsule for housing the medical device during delivery and a marker band attached to a proximal end of the capsule. The marker band can include a base portion and a protrusion that can be configured to extend from the base portion towards a distal end of the capsule. Related methods are also described.
