An attaching metal fitting is used to attach an underfloor device to an underframe of a railcar including a beam member and includes: a first member located at a lower side of a projecting portion projecting in a horizontal direction at a lower end portion of the beam member and formed integrally with or separately from the beam member; and a second member located at an upper side of the projecting portion, wherein: the first member includes a first supporting portion overlapping the projecting portion from below to be fixed to the projecting portion; the second member includes a second supporting portion overlapping the projecting portion from above to be fixed to the projecting portion; and an upper surface of the second supporting portion supports the underfloor device with the projecting portion sandwiched between the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion.

A railcar includes: an underframe including a pair of side sills and a plurality of cross beams each connected to the pair of side sills, the cross beams being arranged at intervals in a car longitudinal direction; and a floor pan arranged in a space surrounded by the pair of side sills and a pair of adjacent cross beams among the plurality of cross beams, the floor pan being fixed to the underframe, the floor pan being configured as a strength member configured to bear at least one of a compressive load and shearing load applied from the underframe.

A collision energy absorbing device configured to realize stable and highly-efficient energy absorption by adequate destruction of reinforced fibers at the time of collision. A collision energy absorbing device of a railcar includes: an absorber made of fiber-reinforced resin and provided so as to extend in a rail direction; a base member supporting a rear end portion of the absorber in the rail direction; a front plate member not fixed to a front end portion of the absorber and provided so as to face the front end portion of the absorber from a front side; and a holding device configured to position the front plate member such that the front plate member aces the front end portion of the absorber from the front side.

A friction stir welding apparatus includes: a rotating shaft, on which a thread for friction stirring is formed; and a drive unit rotatably supporting the rotating shaft. A rotating shoulder configured to rotate together with the rotating shaft to generate frictional heat between the rotating shoulder and back surfaces of workpieces is fixed to a distal end of the rotating shaft. The rotating shoulder is pushed against the back surfaces of the workpieces by a pushing mechanism. A stationary shoulder penetrated by the rotating shaft and configured to hold the workpieces in a sandwiching manner together with the rotating shoulder is non-rotatably mounted to the drive unit or a member connected to the drive unit.

A side bodyshell of a railcar includes: an outside plate including a window opening; horizontal frames arranged below the window opening and joined to the outside plate; and a vertical frame crossing the horizontal frames in a manner to pass over a pier panel, which is lateral to the window opening. The vertical frame includes: a first flange joined to the outside plate at the pier panel; and a second flange spaced apart from the outside plate below the first flange such that a step is formed between the first flange and the second flange, the second flange being joined to the horizontal frames.

A vertical frame included in the door frame and located close to a bogie includes: an upper vertical frame portion located above a floor surface; and a lower vertical frame portion located under the floor surface. A width of an upper step portion of the step in a car longitudinal direction is larger than a width of a lower step portion of the step in the car longitudinal direction.

A railcar includes: a pair of side sills extending in a railcar longitudinal direction; end beams respectively located at railcar-longitudinal-direction end portions of the side sills to extend in a railcar width direction; bolster beams located at a railcar-longitudinal-direction inner side of the end beams to extend in the railcar width direction and respectively placed on bogies; center sills each located between the end beam and the bolster beam to extend in a railcar longitudinal direction; a plurality of cross beams located at a railcar-longitudinal-direction inner side of the bolster beams to extend in the railcar width direction; and a corrugated plate fixed to upper surfaces of the cross beams to be displaceable relative to the bolster beams in the railcar longitudinal direction.

A railcar includes an underframe and an energy absorber provided at the underframe. The underframe includes a first end beam, a second end beam, and a sliding center sill connecting the first end beam and the second end beam with each other. The sliding center sill includes a first beam member connected to the first end beam, a second beam member connected to the second end beam, and a coupling member coupling the first beam member to the second beam member. The first beam member slides relative to the second beam member when the coupling member breaks by application of an impact load higher than a predetermined load. The sliding center sill and the energy absorber are arranged in a region located between the first end beam and the second end beam.

An end bodyshell of a railcar bodyshell includes: a pair of end posts provided at a width direction middle portion of the end bodyshell; corner posts respectively provided at both width direction end portions of the end bodyshell; an end plate to which upper portions of the end posts and upper portions of the corner posts are coupled; and an end-side end beam to which lower portions of the end posts and lower portions of the corner posts are coupled. The end-side end beam includes: a middle member connecting the end posts in the width direction; and two side members each connecting the end post and the corner post in the width direction.

Railcar and method for manufacturing the same

A step device includes: a plurality of steps arranged so as to be lined up in a railcar width direction and constituting a part of a floor surface; and drive mechanisms configured to cause the steps to move upward and downward at a railcar-width-direction inner side between an upper position at which the plurality of steps become a part of the floor surface and a lower position at which the steps are moved downward to constitute boarding stairs. Each of the drive mechanisms includes a rotating link configured to rotate about one end portion thereof in a vertical plane, connecting links respectively connecting the rotating link to the steps, and an actuator configured to cause the rotating link to rotate. The steps move upward and downward by the rotation of the rotating links via the connecting links.

The invention provides a transmission of a vehicle which can smoothly execute shift-up and shift-down operations. The transmission is provided with change gears, a shift member, a change drum, a change shaft rotationally operated at a predetermined angle by a rider, and a change operation force transmitting mechanism transmitting the rotation of the change shaft to the change drum. The change operation force transmitting mechanism includes a driven body integrally rotating with the change drum and having a concave portion in an inner peripheral surface, a pole holder arranged in an inner side of the driven body and rotationally reciprocating on the basis of a rotational reciprocation of the change shaft, a pole held to the pole holder, and being displaceable around a supporting point between an engaged state in which a leading end is engaged with the concave portion and a non-engaged state in which a leading end is away from the concave portion toward an inner side in a diametrical direction of the pole holder, an energizing means for energizing the pole to the engaged state, and a limiting means for limiting in such a manner that the supporting point of the pole is not displaced with respect to the pole holder.
