A fluid pressure regulating apparatus comprises a body having a fluid passage to be connected to a machine driven by a pressurized fluid and to a pressurized fluid supplying source. The rotation of a ring member on the outer surface of the body, around the longitudinal center line thereof, responsively moves a regulating member inside the body, so as to vary selectively the pressing force, applied by the regulating member to an urging member sandwiched between the regulating member and an actuator member when the actuator member is moved from a first position to a second position inside the body by an increased urging force of the urging member, a valve body is driven by the actuator member and moved from a closed position to an open position. The valve body is maintained in its open position by the actuator member, to which the increased urging force is applied, against the pressure of the fluid in the passage. When the actuator member is in its first position (i.e., without an increased urging force being applied thereto), the valve body is allowed to move toward its open position. Thus, the urging force responsively arising from the rotation of the ring causes movement of the valve body, which movement thereby regulates the pressure of the fluid supplied to the machine.

Fluid pressure regulating apparatus

A vice has a base fixed to the worktable of a machine, a slider slidable on the base and a fixing-releasing mechanism for selectively fixing the slider to the base and releasing the slider from the base. The fixing-releasing mechanism is provided with an actuator extending through a large hole formed in the base and engageable with the base and the slider. When not applied by pressurized fluid, the actuator fixes the slider to the base, and when applied by the fluid, it releases the slider from the base for the positional adjustment of the slider. The vice also has a piston-cylinder assembly composed of a cylinder tube and a piston assembly slidable in the cylinder tube and surrounding a lead screw in a telescopic manner. When applied by pressurized fluid, the piston assembly as well as the lead screw advances to move a movable clamp element on the slider towards a stationary clamp element fixed on the slider, for clamping a work between both the clamp elements.

Vice

A clamping apparatus comprises a clamping unit having a pair of clamping plates and clamping plate drive unit, and a fixing unit for fixing the clamping unit to an arbitrary position on a base frame. The clamping unit has a sub base to which one clamping plate and drive unit for driving the other plate are fixed. The drive unit has a leadscrew fixed at its one end to the other plate, and an outer cylindrical member rotatably provided on the sub base and holding the other end of the leadscrew. An inner cylindrical member and a piston are provided in the bore of the outer member. The inner member is threadably fitted over the other end of the leadscrew, and is rotated integrally with the outer one so as to move the leadscrew for a relatively long distance in the longitudinal direction. The outer member is connected to a pressurized fluid supplying devices for supplying fluid to the bore of the outer member, so that the piston is moved by the pressurized fluid for a relatively short distance in the longitudinal direction. This movement of the piston causes the inner member to move outwardly in the longitudinal direction in the bore of the outer member, and the leadscrew, together with the other plate, moves to approach one plate.

Clamping apparatus

Electromagnetic reciprocating pump including a plurality of pumps combined in such a manner that the mode of connection between the suction inlet and the discharge outlet in each of the pumps is allowed to be changed and, as the result, the amount of suction or discharge or the degree of vacuum or compression is allowed to be selected at a multiplicity of stages without any loss of the energy of the alternating current power. The plurality of pumps are disposed in such a manner that the axes of their respective pistons intersect one another at one point and the pumps themselves are rotationally symmetrical with respect to the point mentioned above.

Electromagnetic reciprocating pump

An annular hole cutter including a barrel and cutting teeth attached to a lower portion of the barrel. A portion of a cutting edge of the cutting teeth including hard teeth each having an outer cutting edge formed into a segment which is concentric with respect to an outer circumferential surface of the barrel and an inner cutting edge formed into a segment which is eccentric a slight distance with respect to an inner circumferential surface of the barrel in the radial direction. Eccentric regions of the hard tooth project from the inner circumference of the barrel in the centripetal direction. A gullet is defined between adjacent edges of the cutting teeth for the removal of chips. An inner peripheral surface of the hard teeth located above a stepped portion of the gullets each being formed into a segment which is concentric with respect to the inner circumferential surface of the barrel, and has the same radius of curvature as that of the inner circumferential surface.

Annular hole cutter

An instrument for recovering the functions of the carpal joint, the hand and the fingers including a ballonet operatively connected to an air supply for subjecting the ballonet to repeated expansion and contraction by feeding and discharging compressed air thereto. Finger-engaging members being provided on the outer surface of the ballonet. Fastening members being provided on the outer surface of the ballonet for fixation of the carpal joint region and the region adjacent thereto. An individual's hand positioned within the finger-engaging members and the fastening members is extended and fanned as the ballonet is inflated and contracted as the ballonet is deflated.

Instruments for recovering functions of carpal joint, hand and fingers

A drilling machine including a spindle and an elevating hollow shaft rotatable in unison with the spindle. An annular cutter is mounted in axial alignment with the hollow shaft and an elevating center drill is mounted in axial alignment with the annular cutter. The drill is movable to descend relative to the annular cutter to initiate the formation of a center hole in a workpiece prior to drilling. The drilling machine further includes a cylindrical member vertically movable and rotatably supported within a holder with the elevating hollow shaft being vertically movable and rotatably supported within the cylindrical member.

In the construction of an electro-magnetic fluid pump such as an air pump in which a piston assembly carrying an armature is driven for reciprocal axial movement due to operational combination of magnetic attraction generated by a stator core and mechanical spring repulsion for cyclic discharge of the fluid out of its piston chamber, the piston assembly is postively supported on both axial sides of the stator core and a pneumatic spring is incorporated within the piston assembly. Biased movement of the piston assembly and bias in the magnetic attraction are both successfully prevented in order to minimize undesirable abrasion of the piston assembly and its related parts.

Electro-magnetic fluid pump

In an electromagnetic fluid operating apparatus such as an air compressor in which a piston with an armature axially reciprocates along a path substantially at a right angle to the magnetic flux generated by a stator core due to alternate operation by electromagnetic attraction and mechanical repulsion, exact collimations are automatically established between the armature and the stator core and between the piston and a cylinder for the piston when they are assembled together, thereby minimizing biased frictional abrasion of coacting sliding surfaces. Provision of an internal air reservoir at the air outlet terminal effectively reduces pulsation of air supplied by the apparatus.

Electromagnetic fluid operating apparatus

In a closed-type compressor with an electromagnetic reciprocating drive, reliable and stable collimation of the electromagnetic driving part with the compressive pumping part is easily established by a snug engagement of fitting seats provided in the coupling plane of the two parts and lubrication of the piston and its related part is effected by a built-in type lubrication mechanism utilizing the flow of the gas returning from the given circulation system with simplified construction as well as in the case of compressors with rotary drive, the compressor being preferably used for cooling systems.
