The double-sided hook surface fastener is an extrusion molding surface fastener, the double-sided hook surface fastener is folded back in a length direction in a shape of an alligator's mouth, and the double-sided hook surface fastener is fixed to a first mounting object at a folded-back portion by a rivet. One end portion of the double-sided loop surface fastener is tucked by the alligator's mouth, the double-sided loop surface fastener is folded back by an annular part fixed to a second mounting object, and the other end portion of the double-sided loop surface fastener engages with an outer side surface of the alligator's mouth.

Provided is a pneumatic tire manufacturing method capable of improving the productivity of pneumatic tires each having surface fasteners in its tire inner surface, and of avoiding manufacturing a pneumatic tire having a deteriorated uniformity, as well as of preventing engagement elements of each surface fastener from being crushed. Also, provided is a pneumatic tire manufactured by the pneumatic tire manufacturing method. The pneumatic tire manufacturing method according to the present invention includes the steps of, in making a green tire having two-side fasteners in its tire inner surface in its tire circumferential direction, each two-side fastener including an engagement element group on both sides: covering the engagement element groups on first sides of the two-side fasteners with a protective rubber layer made of an uncured rubber; making a cylindrical first formed body on a making drum, with the two-side fasteners covered with the protective rubber layer being intermittently attached to an inner circumferential surface of the first forming body in a circumferential direction thereof with the engagement element groups on second sides of the two-side fasteners being interposed in between; bonding the first formed body to an inner circumference of an annular second formed body by compression through expanding the first formed body into a toroidal shape, and thereby making the green tire; and curing the green tire inside a mold of a curing machine while pressing the green tire from its inside by a bladder.

The mold-in fastening member comprises a substrate having engaging elements on a top surface thereof and a foamed synthetic resin layer bonded to a rear surface of the substrate. The foamed synthetic resin layer has overhanging marginal portions or sealing portions extending outwardly beyond at least both lateral edges of the substrate. The foamed synthetic resin layer has a thickness of 1 to 10 mm and an initial compressive modulus of 0.02 to 1.0 MPa. The connected fastening members include a plurality of mold-in fastening members each having a substrate and a predetermined number of engaging elements formed on a first or front surface of the substrate. Using the connected fastening members, a plurality of the fastening members can be easily fit to a recessed portion of a mold in a single operation, resulting in improved working efficiency.

The mold-in fastening member, that can be molded into a resin article, of the present invention comprises (a) a substrate having a front surface and a back surface; (b) a plurality of engaging elements provided on the front surface; (c) a plurality of anchoring elements provided on the back surface, the anchoring elements being embedded into the resin article to fix the mold-in fastening member thereto; (d) a ferrite-containing layer formed on the front surface; (e) marginal portions continuously extending along respective lengthwise edges of the substrate; and (f) grooves formed on the substrate, which extend along the respective marginal portions to render the marginal portions easily bending relative to the substrate. The fastening member is easily placed in position on shoulders of a recess formed on a mold and protects the engaging elements from being buried or contaminated by a foaming resin because the ingress of the foaming resin into the recess is effectively prevented due to the close contact of the marginal portions with the shoulders. The fastening member of the present invention is small in size and improve the productivity, safety and working efficiency of the production of molded resin articles having mold-in fastening members.
