A manufacturing method for multi-layered electronic parts which is characterized in that from a roll of a polyethylene microporous sheet which has an electrode layer forming agent formed on its surface, contains 45 to 80 volume percent of inorganic filler, and has a thickness of 25 &mgr;m or less, tensile strengths of 3 kg/mm or more in the longitudinal direction and of 1 kg/mm or more in the transverse direction, and an elongation of 30% or less in the MD direction, layered electronic parts are formed via (a) a step of unwinding the sheet, (b) a step of cutting the sheet in a predetermined length, (c) a step of stacking the cut sheets, and (d) a step of cutting the layered structure and efficient production is made possible.

A non-coated and uncalendered polyester filament woven fabric useful for an air bag, having a low air permeability even after a dry or wet heat aging, includes a plurality of polyester multifilament warp and weft yarns having (1) a maximum thermal stress of 0.8 g/denier or less determined between room temperature and the melting point of the yarns, at a heating rate of 150.degree. C./min and at a fixed length of the yarn under an initial load of 0.08 g/denier, (2) a maximum thermal shrinkage of 25% or less determined between room temperature and the melting temperature of the yarn at a heating rate of 150.degree. C./min under an initial load of 0.08 g/denier without restricting the shrinkage of the yarns, (3) a limiting viscosity number of 0.80 to 0.95 dl/g determined in a concentration of 1.2 g/100 ml in o-chlorophenol at 25.degree. C., and (4) a content of terminal carboxyl groups of 5 to 35 equivalent per ton.

Polyester filament woven fabric for air bags

A filter cloth for air bags comprises a synthetic fiber woven fabric having (1) a ground weave structure segment having a single plain weave structure or a single twill weave structure and (2) a plurality of high gas-permeability weave structure segments substantially evenly distributed in the ground structure segment, exhibiting an air permeability higher than that of the ground structure segment and having (A) a mock leno weave structure having pinholes, (B) a double plain weave structure or (C) a double twill weave structure, and allows, when an air bag is formed from the cloth, a layout for cutting and a cutting of the cloth to be made freely and when the resultant air bag is inflated, the bag allows an inflation gas to instantly flow out from the bag so as to ensure the safety of the occupant.

A polyester fiber highly heat-resistant in a rubber matrix and useful as a reinforcing material for rubber articles, has a tensile strength of 8 g/d or more and is composed of a core portion made from a polyester resin and a skin portion made from a polyester resin and covering the core portion, the skin portion being in an amount of 5% to 20% based on the entire amount of the fiber and having a lower orientation and/or lower crystallinity than the core portion, which polyester fiber has been produced by treating a surface portion of a homogeneous polyester fiber consisting essentially of a polyester resin with a solvent capable of swelling the polyester resin or by coating a precursory polyester fiber for the core portion with a polyester resin for the skin portion.

A polyester fiber composed of a polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate units as the main recurring units and having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.9, which has an amorphous orientation degree of 0.3 to 0.55 and a crystal melting point of at least 265.degree. C.

Polyester fiber

A thermally improved polyester weft yarn is provided by melt-spinning a blend of a polyethylene terephthalate polymer and a small amount of polymer having a glass transition temperature of at least 10.degree. C. higher than that of the polyethylene terephthalate polymer. The yarn has a break elongation of 70% to 200% and a dry heat shrinkage of +5% to -2%, and is capable of withstanding a severe heat-treatment, for example, at 245.degree. C. for 2 minutes during dipping and curing process of a tire cord fabric comprising the same. Even after such heat-treatment, the yarn shows a residual break elongation of more than 60%. Thus, the weft yarn extends uniformly, without breakage, to a toroidal shape during a tire building process, keeping warp cords at a equi-distance relation. A tire cord fabric comprising the weft yarn of the invention finds its use as the carcass in the form of single ply in a radial tire.

Thermoplastic synthetic filaments having a properly delustered appearance and an adequate frictional property, comprise 85 to 99% by weight of a thermoplastic matrix polymer and 1 to 15% by weight of a dispersed polymer which is incompatible with the matrix polymer and uniformly dispersed in the form of fine particles in the matrix polymer, and are characterized by numerous fine protuberances consisting of the dispersed polymer and formed in the number of at least 5 per 10 .mu..sup.2 on the peripheral surface of each individual filament, the protuberances preferably being each in the form of a hemisphere, hemispheroid or hemiellipsoid extending along the longitudinal axis of each individual filament.

Thermoplastic synthetic filaments and process for producing the same

Disclosed is a novel bulkable filamentary yarn of a flat yarn-like smooth appearance, said bulkable filamentary yarn is composed essentially of a bulkable portion and an interlaced portion existing alternately along the yarn length. Upon scouring, for example, said yarn develops its latent bulkiness similar to the fullness of silk, thus a silk-like appearance as well as a silk-like hand are provided in a fabric. The yarn itself can be obtained by heat-shrinking arc-like loops protruding on the yarn surface into a straightened state parallel to the yarn while the yarn is being tensioned along its length.

Bulkable filamentary yarn

Novel polyester filamentary yarn is provided having (a) a fineness of 0.9 denier per filament or less, (b) an amorphous orientation in the range of 30% to 70% and (c) a negative .epsilon..sub.0.2 where said .epsilon..sub.0.2 is a structural integrity parameter. The yarn possesses ameliorated properties regarding a heat-setting property, a raising property, a dimensional stability and a twist resistance. The yarn finds its wide range of usage, for example, silky fabrics with an excellent fullness, pliability and liveliness, raised fabrics with thermally stabilized fluffs protruding straight-forwardly and an extremely soft hand, and uniformly creped fabrics with an improved surface contour are obtained therefrom.

Linear crystalline terephthalate polyester yarn and textile goods made

A method for drawing and heat-treating an undrawn polyester yarn by drawing the polyester yarn between a heated feed roller and at least one heated draw roller, wherein the surface temperature of the last draw roller is progressively raised from its yarn in-coming side to its yarn out-going side, the yarn is shrunken both on the last draw roller and between the last draw roller and the take-up roller, and the yarn is cooled on the take-up roller. Further, after the method has resumed after being stopped, the running speed of the yarn on the take-up roller is maintained at not more than (100-5.7.times.S)m/min., wherein S is the total shrinkage of the yarn until the yarn heated during the stoppage has been allowed to shrink in the subsequent step. The yarn is then passed over the take-up roller at a running speed of 200 to 1200 m/min. An apparatus for performing the above method, characterized by the provision of a shrinking part in the last draw roller, means for heating the surface temperature of the last draw roller progressively from its yarn in-coming side to its yarn out-going side and a groove on a separator roller associated to the penultimate draw roller for regulating the yarn path of the last turn of the yarn.

Method for drawing and heat-treating polyester yarns

A filament, fiber and yarn consisting of a naphthalate polyester containing at least 85 mol % of ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units and having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.3 to 1.0, said filament, fiber and yarn having a diffraction intensity ratio (R) between a Bragg reflection angle 2.THETA. = 18.7.degree. and 2.THETA. = 15.6.degree., as determined by the X-ray diffraction method, being in the range of 0.15 to 1.73. Electrically insulating material can be produced by heat-treating a fabric consisting mainly of the above naphthalate polyester fibers.

Novel naphthalate polyester fibers, and their end uses

Textured polyester yarn is prepared from multifilament yarn composed of a synthetic linear ethylene terephthalate polyester by draw-texturing at a draw ratio of 1.05 - 1.30X, using a heat-setting temperature of about 170.degree. - 240.degree.. Feed yarn for said draw-texturing process has (a) a break elongation of 40 - 80%, (b) a density of above 1.371 g/cm.sup.3, and (c) a boil-off shrinkage of less than 8%. Said feed yarn is prepared by modified melt spinning of the foregoing polyester at a speed of about 3000 - 5000 meters per minute.
