There is disclosed a connector device installed on an automotive steering wheel. The device comprises a stationary body, a movable body capable of rotating relative to the stationary body, and two belt-like flat cables stacked on each other. The cables are mounted in the space formed between the stationary body and the movable body. Each cable is wound with a given turns, and comprises two base sheet of film bonded together. Several straight conductors are juxtaposed and sandwiched between the base sheets.

Connector device

A device for moving a door provided in an air conditioner upstream of an area in which cold air and hot air are mixed to produce a stream of air having an appropriate temperature includes an electric motor which is rotatable in either direction for rotating the door in either direction. An electric switch is connected to the motor for controlling its operation. The switch is reciprocatively slidable by a lever. A cam follower is connected to the motor reciprocatively slidably in parallel to the switch for changing an electrical circuit connection between the switch and the motor. The cam follower is connected to the motor by a wire and the door is also connected to the motor by a wire. The switch has a rotatable arm which is engageable with the cam follower. The arm has a neutral position in which it is engaged with the cam follower so that no electric current may be supplied to the motor. The arm is rotatable in two opposite directions from its neutral position. If it is rotated in either direction, the motor is rotated for moving the cam follower toward the switch until the arm is brought back to its neutral position.

Air conditioner with motor controlled door

An automatic window regulator for automobiles includes a drive motor for lifting and lowering the window glass, and a detector for detecting when there is a foreign object jammed between the window glass as it is lifted or lowered and a window frame. The detector includes sensor means for measuring motor characteristic values of the drive motor and comparator means for comparing a first motor characteristic value measured by the sensor means with a second motor characteristic value measured by the sensor means a prescribed period of time prior to the first motor characteristic value and for generating a detected signal indicative of the jammed foreign object when any difference between the compared first and second motor characteristic values is greater than a predetermined range.

Circuit for preventing the erroneous operation of a motor control device

A mirror position control device for use in an automobile has mirror angle adjusting motors for adjusting the angle of the mirror to a position previously determined by an individual driver, a memory unit for storing the angles of the mirror desired by each of a plurality of drivers, an angle detector for detecting the actual angle of the mirror, and a control unit for comparing the actual angle as detected by the angle detector with the predetermined angle of an individual driver stored in the memory unit and for applying a control signal to the mirror angle adjusting motors to adjust the angle of the mirror to the optimum angle suited for the individual driver.

Rear view mirror position control device of automobile

An air conditioner control system for adjusting the mixing ratio of warm and cool winds by controlling the opening angle of the air mixing door of an air conditioner. The control system includes a base board formed with for wiring patterns and a contact lever made swingable on a common point shared with the base board and carrying a pair of sliding contacts for sliding into selective contact with the wiring patterns. The contact lever is adapted to engage with a control knob, and the base board is connected to a motor actuator. The air mixing door is opened or closed in accordance with the movement of the control knob so that the base board may accordingly be swung in the lever moving direction.

Disclosed is a system for automatically adjusting parts of the environmental settings surrounding an automobile driver such as the setting of the rear view mirrors, the seat portion, and so forth; to a predetermined optimum setting for the individual driver. The system includes operating buttons for first adjusting the settings manually to an optimum position, position detectors for sensing the position of each part of the environment, a memory unit for storing the optimum positions and a control unit for moving the respective parts from an arbitrary position to the optimum positions stored in the memory unit when a command key is depressed.

Driving position control system for automobiles

A composite switch for starting and stopping the air conditioner of a vehicle and for changing the flow of air supplied by an air blower comprises a main switch, a selector switch, and an auxiliary switch that is connected in series with the main switch. The main switch is used to start and stop the air conditioner. The selector switch is used to change the flow of air. A selector member for switching the contacts of the auxiliary switch from one state to another is disposed opposite to an actuating member for shifting the contacts of the selector switch such that whenever the selector switch is in a certain position, the actuating member drives the selector member to open the main switch. Thus, whenever the blower is stopped, the air conditioner is stopped.

Composite switch

A window regulator device for automatically elevating or lowering a window glass of an automobile is equipped with a safety device that operates when a human arm, for example, is sandwiched between the glass and its window frame. The regulator device consists of a motor for moving the glass up or down, a detector circuit for sensing whether the motor is locked, a reversing circuit connected to the detector circuit for reversing the motor, a latching circuit for maintaining the motor energized, and an operated switch for permitting the motor to move the glass up or down.

Safety device for automatic window regulator

A composite switch equipped with a main switch whose contact is connected and disconnected by an operation member and a change-over switch whose contact is changed among plural positions. An auxiliary switch is provided in series with the main switch, whose switching member is positioned so that it is driven by a working member for operating the contact of the change-over switch.

A thin type push-button switch of momentary operation, comprising a movable contact piece which includes an inversion portion and arms formed in a manner to hold the inversion portion therebetween. The inversion portion is formed with a movable contact portion having tongues, and is integrally formed of a resilient metal sheet. A case includes a groove held in engagement with one of the arms and stationary contacts are fixed within the case. A slider includes a push-button portion and a groove held in engagement with the other arm and is slidable with respect to the case. When the push-button portion is depressed, the inversion portion of the movable contact piece is inverted to electrically connect the movable contact portion and the stationary contacts. When the depressing force is released, the inversion portion is restored by the resiliency of the movable contact piece, to disconnect the movable contact portion and the stationary contacts.

Disclosed is a two-motion push-button switch comprising first and second switch portions, each including a movable contact piece 4 formed of a thin elastic metal plate, which has a reversing portion 4b provided with a movable contact portion and arms 4a and 4a' formed to grip the reversing portion therebetween, an auxiliary spring 9 or 9' to be engaged with said arms and a fixed contact portion 2a or 3a formed at a position confronting the movable contact portion in a case 1 or 6, wherein the movable contact pieces are reversed by one slider 5 dismountably disposed in the case to drive said two switch portions and the reversing force by the movable contact piece and auxiliary spring constituting the first switch portion is different from the reversing force by the movable contact piece and auxiliary spring constituting the second switch portion.

A momentary push-button switch wherein a movable contact piece is made of an elastic and conductive metal sheet by incurvating the latter and providing a pair of coupling portions on its sides in parallel with the depressing direction of the switch, and the coupling portions are bent to increase their rigidities against a pressing force. A switching tactility based on the inversion of the movable contact is clearly developed.

Disclosed is a two-motion push-button switch which comprises first and second switch portions, each switch portion including a movable contact piece 4 or 6 formed of an elastic thin metal plate and having a reversing portion provided with a movable contact portion and arms formed to grip the reversing portion therebetween and fixed contact portions 2a,3a or 8a,9a formed in a case 1 or 7 at the position confronting said movable contact portion, and one slider 5 slidably arranged in the case, wherein the movable contact pieces are reversed by said slider to drive said two switch portions so that the reversing force of the moving contact piece of the first switch portion is made different from that of the movable contact piece of the second switch portion.
