According to the invention, there is provided a continuous web printing apparatus comprising transport means including an endless belt having a sticky surface, a plurality of support rollers having said endless belt entrained therearound and a drive means for rotating said support rollers to move said endless belt, a press means for pressing a continuous web, such as a fabric or transfer sheet, against said endless belt to stick said continuous web to said endless belt, an ink jet head disposed between said support rollers in opposed relation to the surface of said continuous web stuck to said endless belt, an abutment adapted to abut against said endless belt, said abutment being opposed to said ink jet head with the continuous web and said endless belt interposed therebetween, head gap adjusting means for moving at least either of said ink jet head or said abutment in a direction in which the two are opposed to each other, and recovering means for peeling said continuous web, which has passed by said ink jet head, from said endless belt for recovery.

Continuous web printing apparatus

A screen printing apparatus and method for forming printed wiring on a board. The apparatus comprises a holder for holding the board upright in posiiton, and a printing device arranged vertically for at least one surface of the board as held in position by the holder, the printing device including a spatula-like squeegee, a screen, a first scraper in the form of a spatula for scraping ink from the front surface of the screen remote from the board and a second scraper in the form of a spatula for scraping ink from the rear surface of the screen adjacent the board, the first scraper and the second scraper being mechanically drivable at the same time to scrape the screen with the first scraper positioned below or above or at the same level as the second scraper, the squeegee being mechanically drivable for squeegeeing ink on the front surface of the screen after the first and second scrapers scrape the screen.

An apparatus for intermittently driving an endless belt by two electric motors in an automatic screen printing machine, which comprises a pair of rollers, an endless belt supported on the rollers, a direct current electric motor for intermittently driving said rollers and a control mechanism for setting a repeat length of the endless belt while converting it to a pulse number, detecting the actual feed length of the endless belt as a pulse number and subtracting the detected pulse number from the set pulse number to stop the endless belt at the repeat length corresponding to the set pulse number.
