A variable displacement swash plate compressor includes a displacement control valve that is configured to change crank chamber pressure, and an opening adjusting valve that adjusts an amount of refrigerant sucked into a suction chamber. The opening adjusting valve includes a valve case, a first valve element, a second valve element, and an urging spring. The valve case has a valve seat on which the second valve element is seated. The valve seat regulates movement of the second valve element toward the first valve element. A sealing member is provided between an inner peripheral surface of the valve case that defines a second valve chamber and an outer peripheral surface of the second valve element to prevent refrigerant in the second valve chamber so that leakage between a bleed passage and a control passage is prevented.

Variable displacement swash plate compressor

A variable displacement swash plate type compressor includes a first and a second valve body, and a suction and a bleed window. An open degree of the suction window is minimized by the first valve body and an open degree of the bleed window is maximized by the second valve body when a suction pressure is lower than a predetermined suction pressure and a crank chamber pressure is higher than a control pressure. The open degree of the suction window is increased and the open degree of the bleed window is maximized when the suction pressure is higher than the predetermined suction pressure and the crank chamber pressure is higher than the control pressure. The open degree of the suction window and the open degree of the bleed window are decreased when the crank chamber pressure is lower than the control pressure.

Variable displacement swash plate type compressor

A suction throttle valve of a variable displacement compressor having a compressor housing includes a suction chamber, a crank chamber, an inlet, a suction passage, a valve body, a valve housing, an urging member, a valve chamber, and a communication hole. The valve body is provided for adjusting an opening area of the suction passage and movably arranged in the suction passage. The urging member urges the valve body in the direction that decreases the opening area of the suction passage. The communication hole is provided for connecting the suction chamber to the valve housing. An opening area of the communication hole is variable in accordance with the movement of the valve body. Accordingly, the opening area of the communication hole becomes maximum during the maximum displacement operation of the compressor and becomes reduced during the intermediate displacement operation of the compressor.

Suction throttle valve for variable displacement type compressor

The present invention is directed to provide a device for reducing pulsation in a variable displacement compressor. The compressor is connected to an external refrigerant circuit. The device for reducing pulsation includes a flow passage and a control valve. The control valve includes a valve housing, a spool valve and a damper chamber. The spool valve has formed therethrough a flow hole. The damper chamber communicates with the flow passage adjacent to the external refrigerant circuit through the flow hole. Effective cross-sectional area and effective length of the flow hole are determined based on frequency of a specific pulsation of the refrigerant gas and volume of the damper chamber at the time of the development of the specific pulsation in such a manner that the specific pulsation is developed, resonance effect of a Helmholtz resonator takes place in the damper chamber.

Device for reducing pulsation in a variable displacement compressor

A compressor has a suction throttle valve, which includes a suction passage, a suction port, a valve body, an urging member, a valve chamber, a first communication hole, a closing valve and a valve seat. The closing valve closes the hole of the valve body by pressure difference between the valve chamber and the suction port. The valve seat limits movement of the closing valve toward the suction port. The hole of the valve body is closed when the closing valve is in contact with the valve body, and open when the closing valve is in contact with the valve seat. A communication passage is formed in the closing valve or the valve seat, which enables communication between the hole of the valve body and the suction port when the closing valve is in contact with the valve seat.

Suction throttle valve of a compressor

A suction throttle valve of a compressor has a compressor housing having a suction chamber and a crank chamber. The suction throttle valve includes a suction passage formed in the housing, a suction port provided at an inlet of the suction passage, a valve body movably arranged in the suction passage for adjusting opening of the suction passage, an urging member for urging the valve body toward the suction port, and a valve chamber provided in the suction passage. Refrigerant is drawn into the suction passage through the suction port and then received in the suction chamber. A first communication hole is formed through the housing, through which the valve chamber and the suction chamber are in constant communication with each other. A second communication hole is formed through the housing, through which the valve chamber and the crank chamber are in constant communication with each other.

A variable displacement compressor in which variable control of displacement is effected through adjustment of a crank chamber pressure, includes: a suction port; a suction chamber; a suction passage establishing communication between the suction port and the suction chamber; and an opening control valve arranged in the suction passage and adapted to adjust the opening of the suction passage based on a pressure difference between a suction pressure in the suction port and the crank chamber pressure.

Variable displacement compressor

A variable displacement compressor including a drive shaft through which a gas passage extends between front and rear ends of the drive shaft. The gas passage is connected to a suction chamber at the rear end of the drive shaft. The drive shaft includes a first gas inlet passage, which connects the gas passage to a crank chamber through a lip seal, an oil chamber, and a thrust bearing, and a second gas inlet passage, which connects the gas passage to a central portion of the crank chamber. The drive shaft further includes a sleeve movable along the drive shaft as a swash plate inclines to adjust an open amount of the second gas inlet passage in accordance with the inclination angle of the swash plate, that is, the displacement of the compressor.

A piston type compressor includes a housing forming a cylinder bore. A drive shaft is supported by the housing. A cam plate is coupled to the drive shaft and is rotated by the rotation of the drive shaft. A piston is accommodated in the cylinder bore and is coupled to the cam plate. The rotation of the cam plate is converted into the reciprocating movement of the piston. In accordance with the reciprocating movement of the piston, gas is introduced into the cylinder bore, is compressed and is discharged from the cylinder bore. Compression reactive force is generated in compressing the gas by the piston, is transmitted to the housing through a compression reactive force transmission path and is received by the housing. A vibration damping member is made of a predetermined vibration damping alloy and is placed at least one location along the compression reactive force transmission path.

Foreign matter removing structure in a fluid circuit and a compressor therewith

A damping device is arranged in a gas passage in a compressor for damping compression waves transmitted from suction valves. The damping device includes a damper arranged in a damper hole provided in a pipe fitting of the compressor housing. The damper has concentric inner and outer cylindrical walls, and end wall closing ends of the inner and outer cylindrical walls, and radial holes at the end of the inner cylindrical wall. The outer cylindrical wall is arranged in the damper hole and the inner cylindrical wall is fitted in the fitting hole leading to the suction chamber. A gas passage is formed by an inner passage portion, radial holes, an inter-wall passage portion, a radial passage portion at the end opposite to radial holes, and an outer passage portion between the outer cylindrical wall and the side cylindrical wall of the damper hole.

Compressor having concentrically walled damper

A reciprocating piston type compressor for compressing refrigerant gas for an automobile air conditioning system is improved to protect itself without protective control by a computer. The compressor detects the temperature of a part of the compressor in which the temperature increases to higher than a predetermined critical temperature when the compressor malfunctions, and changes a displacement control valve to reduce the displacement of the compressor when the detected temperature is higher than the predetermined critical temperature.
