A process of using a catalyst composition to polymerize at least one monomer to produce a polymer. The process comprises contacting the catalyst composition and at least one monomer in a polymerization zone under polymerization conditions to produce the polymer. The catalyst composition is produced by a process comprising contacting at least one organometal compound, at least one treated solid oxide compound, and at least one organoaluminum compound.

Polymerization catalyst systems, methods of making and uses therefor

A process of using a catalyst composition to polymerize at least one monomer to produce a polymer. The process comprising contacting the catalyst composition, at least one monomer in a polymerization zone under polymerization conditions to produce the polymer. The catalyst composition is produced by a process comprising contacting at least one organometal compound, at least one solid mixed oxide compound, and at least one organoaluminum compound. The solid mixed oxide compound comprises oxygen and at least two elements selected from the group consisting of groups 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of the periodic table, including lanthanides and actinides.

A process is provided to produce a composition of matter. The process comprises contacting at least one organometal compound, at least one solid mixed oxide compound, and at least one organoaluminum compound to produce the composition.

Olefins can be polymerized in the presence of a catalyst system composition comprising chromium oxides supported on a inorganic oxide support, a pyrrole-containing compound and a non-hydrolyzed metal alkyl. The lanthanide based catalyst is prepared by contacting a lanthanide halide with an ether, then contacting the resulting lanthanide composition with an alkali or alkaline earth metal alkyl compound, and depositing the resulting lanthanide product on a particulate support.
