According to one embodiment, a video processing apparatus includes a viewer detector that performs face recognition using a video photographed by a camera and acquires position information of a viewer, a correction amount calculator that calculates a correction amount for compensating for an error of the position information involved in deviation of an attaching position of the camera, a position information corrector that corrects the position information using the correction amount calculated by the correction amount calculator, a viewing area information calculator that calculates, using the position information corrected by the position information corrector, a control parameter for setting a viewing area in which the viewer is set, and a viewing area controller that controls the viewing area according to the control parameter.

A communication network system has a plurality of communication terminals, each having a first transmitting unit and a first receiving unit. Information is transmitted and received among the communication terminals through the first transmitting unit and the first receiving unit. At least two of the communication terminals are used as relay terminals. Each of the relay terminal has a second transmitting unit and a second receiving unit for performing only one-to-one-type communication. A received-information relay unit transmits information received from the first receiving unit to the second transmitting unit and transmits information received from the second receiving unit to the first transmitting unit. A relay-terminal-information transmitting unit transmits to the first transmitting unit ID information of the relay terminal and ID information of a terminal to which the relay terminal is providing relay services. A storage unit stores the information of the relay terminals and relay situations thereof from relay terminal information received from the first receiving unit. When the relay terminal discontinues the relay services, the presence or the absence of an available relay terminal is determined by referring to the storage unit. If there is an available relay terminal, an instruction is provided to the terminal which is receiving the relay services to change the relay terminal.

A communication network system has a plurality of communication terminals, each having a first transmitting unit and a first receiving unit. Information is transmitted and received among the communication terminals through the first transmitting unit and the first receiving unit. Communication apparatus and a method for controlling a communication

A server collects network administration information of terminals connected to the self-segment, assembles the collected network administration information into packets, and transfers the packets to other segments. The server stores the relationship, as a table, between the low-level layer address of each terminal connected to a corresponding segment and the corresponding high-level layer address on the basis of the collected network administration information and the network administration information included in packets transferred from other segments, and performs packet transfer between terminals through the segments by looking up this table.
