Polyalkylene terephthalate resin composition

Provided is a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which has further improved fluidity (melt fluidity) while maintaining mechanical characteristics. The polybutylene terephthalate resin composition contains 0.05-5 parts by mass of a glycerin fatty acid ester having a hydroxyl value of 200-400, and 0.05-5 parts by mass of a polyvalent alcohol fatty acid ester having a hydroxyl value of 100 or less, with respect to 100 parts by mass of a polybutylene terephthalate resin. The glycerin fatty acid ester preferably contains glycerin and/or a dehydration condensation product thereof, and a fatty acid having 12 or more carbon atoms.

Polybutylene terephthalate resin composition

A polybutylene terephthalate resin composition in which it is possible to effectively suppress discoloration without lowering the heat shock resistance. The polybutylene terephthalate resin composition is part of a molded article having a lightness L* value of 80 or higher as measured using a color difference meter, and includes a polybutylene terephthalate resin having a terminal carboxyl group content of 30 meq/kg or less, a carbodiimide compound, and a phosphite compound; and the phosphite compound content is 0.05-0.15 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of polybutylene terephthalate resin.

A resin composition including an aromatic polyester resin and having high levels of hydrolysis resistance and moldability is provided. The resin composition includes an aromatic polyester resin having a terminal carboxyl group content of not more than 30 eq/ton (component A), a cyclic carbodiimide compound having at least two carbodiimide rings, each having only one carbodiimide group (component B), and a polyvalent hydroxyl group-containing compound having a hydroxyl value of not less than 200 (component C).

Resin composition

Provided is a means for obtaining a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition that exhibits excellent hydrolysis resistance and high fluidity in a molten state. A carbodiimide compound (B) and a polyhydric hydroxyl group-containing compound (C) are added to a polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) having a terminal carboxyl group content of 30 meq/kg or lower. The polyhydric hydroxyl group-containing compound (C) that is used has a hydroxyl group value of 200 or higher. It is preferable for the polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) to have an intrinsic viscosity of 0.6 dL/g or higher.

Polybutylene terephthalate resin composition and hydrolysis resistance-improving agent

A polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which is free from bleeding and other problems, and improves the flowability (melt-flowability) while maintaining the characteristics such as mechanical strength or toughness. To 100 parts by weight of a composition composed of 50 to 90% by weight of (A) a polybutylene terephthalate resin and 10 to 50% by weight of (B) inorganic filler, is blended 0.05 to 5 parts by weight of (C) a glycerin fatty acid ester being composed of glycerin and/or a dehydrated condensate thereof and a fatty acid having 12 or more carbon atoms and having 200 or more hydroxyl value determined by a method specified in the description.

Polybutylene terephthalate resin composition and thin molded article

A flame-retardant resin composition comprises 25 to 150 parts by weight of (B) a thermoplastic polyester1 elastomer, 5 to 40 parts by weight of (C) a phosphinic acid compound comprising a salt of at least one member selected from the group consisting of a phosphinic acid, a diphosphinic acid, and a polymerized product thereof, and 0.5 to 20 parts by weight of (D) an epoxy compound, relative to 100 parts by weight of (A) a polybutylene terephthalate-series resin. Such a flame-retardant resin composition is useful for various molded products and for covering the surface of an electric wire, or the like. The present invention provides a halogen-free flame-retardant resin composition which has a high heat resistance and a high flame retardancy and is excellent in hydrolysis resistance, abrasion resistance, and moldability (e.g., extrusion properties).

Flame-retardant resin composition

A flame-retardant resin composition comprises a base resin (e.g., a polyester-series resin), a flame retardant (A) comprising a salt of an amino group-containing triazine compound with a sulfuric acid and/or a sulfonic acid, a flame-retardant auxiliary (B). The flame-retardant auxiliary (B) includes an aromatic resin, acyclic urea-series compound or a derivative thereof [e.g., acetyleneurea, uric acid, a salt of melamine or a condensate thereof (e.g., melam, melem, and melon) with cyanuric acid], an amino group-containing triazine compound (e.g., melamine or a condensate thereof), and/or an inorganic metal-series compound (e.g., a metal salt of an oxygen acid having no sulfur atom, a metal oxide, a metal hydroxide, and a metal sulfide). The present invention provides a flame-retardant resin composition to which flame retardancy is imparted without using a halogen-series flame retardant and an organic phosphorus-series flame retardant.

A flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) abase resin; (B) a flame retardant comprising (B1) at least one aromatic resin selected from a polyphenylene oxide-series resin and a polyphenylene sulfide-series resin, (B2) a phosphoric ester, and (B3) a nitrogen-containing cyclic compound; and (C) a styrenic resin having a melt flow rate of not more than 8 g/10 minutes. The base resin may be a polyester-series resin. The styrenic resin (C) may be a styrenic resin having a melt flow rate of 0.1 g/10 minutes to not more than 5 g/10 minutes. The phosphoric ester (B2) may be a condensed phosphoric ester, and the nitrogen-containing cyclic compound (B3) may be a polyphosphate of an amino group-containing triazine compound, a polyphosphoric acid amide, or others. The present invention provides a flame-retardant resin composition which has been flame-retarded without using a halogen-containing flame retardant.

A flame-retardant resin composition comprises a base resin (A), an organic phosphorus compound (B) having a unit represented by the following formula (1a), and a flame-retardant auxiliary (C).  Wherein Ar represents an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocycle; Xrepresents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; Yand Yare the same or different and each represents a hydrocarbon group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, or an aralkyloxy group; Zrepresents an alkylene group, or a nitrogen-containing bivalent group corresponding to an alkylamine; Yand Ymay bind to each other, and Yand Ytogether with the adjacent phosphorus atom may form a ring; 'a' denotes 0 or 1; and 'b' denotes an integer of 1 to 6.

A blending of a styrenic resin, and a flame retardant comprising a phenolic resin and a phosphazene compound to a polyalkylene arylate-series resin imparts flame retardancy to a polyalkylene arylate-series resin. The phosphazene compound is a cyclic phenoxyphosphazene compound, a linear phenoxyphosphazene compound, or a crosslinked phenoxyphosphazene compound. The obtained polyalkylene arylate-series resin composition has excellent heat resistance and high flame-retardancy without bleeding out the flame retardant.

A flame retardant comprising a phosphazene compound, a polyphenylene oxide-series resin, and if necessary a styrenic resin and/or a nitrogen-containing compound imparts flame retardancy to a polyalkylene arylate-series resin. The phosphazene compound comprises at least a crosslinked phenoxyphosphazene compound. The obtained polyalkylene arylate-series resin composition shows high flame-retardancy.

A flame-retardant resin composition comprises 10 to 300 parts by weight of a flame retardant (B) and 1 to 200 parts by weight of an inorganic filler (C) (a glass fiber and/or a glass flake), relative to 100 parts by weight of a base resin (A). The flame retardant (B) comprises a polyphenylene oxide-series resin and/or a polyphenylene sulfide-series resin (B1), a phosphoric ester (B2), and a nitrogen-containing cyclic compound (B3) (for example, a polyphosphate of an amino group-containing triazine compound). The inorganic filler (C) has been treated with a surface-treatment agent or sizing agent containing a novolak epoxy resin. Such a resin composition is useful for obtaining a shaped article which has been inhibited from dripping and to which flame retardancy is highly imparted.

It is an object of the present invention to manufacture high quality thermotropic liquid-crystalline polymer generating no low boiling gas and inducing no discoloration resulted from thermal degradation at high yield. To manufacture a liquid-crystalline polymer having 50 mol % or larger ratio of constitutive unit introduced from 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, the reaction is conducted under the presence of an acylating agent and of a catalyst quantity of aromatic sulfonic acid.
