The display system includes an HMD and a control device. The display system includes a plurality of display modes including a first display mode in which display on an image display unit and display on a touch panel are common and a second display mode in which display on the image display unit and display on the touch panel are different from each other. A first state, a second state, and a third state are capable of being executed, the first state being a state in which at least any one of display on the image display unit and display on the touch panel is stopped, the second state being a state of requesting a specific operation, and the third state being a state in which an application is executable. During specific transition from the first state, the second state, or the third state to another state, the first display mode is set.

A display system includes an HMD and a control device. The control device can execute switching between a plurality of user interfaces. When the user interfaces are switched without change of display of an image display unit, a notification is made by the control device. When the user interfaces are switched with change of display of the image display unit, a notification is made by the HMD.

A guidance system includes first and second HMDs. The first HMD includes a first image display section, and a reception section receiving an instruction, and a first control section generating output information in response to an instruction received by the reception section and transmitting the output information to the second HMD. The second HMD includes a second image display section displaying an image to be visually recognized in an overlapping manner with external scenery, a second storage section storing AR content including an AR image combined with external scenery visually recognized in the second display section, and a second control section displaying an image based on at least one of the AR content stored in the second storage section and the output information on the second display section according to a position of the second HMD or a visual field of external scenery visually recognized in the second display section.

A transmission type head mounted display device includes an image display unit configured to display an image and causes a user wearing the head mounted display device to visually recognize the image, and to transmit an outside scene; a movement detection unit configured to detect that the head mounted display device moves to a specific place; and a processing control unit configured to change at least a part of predetermined functions mounted on the head mounted display device.
