A light projection method for a moving body which is performed by a processor of the moving body is provided. The method comprises: irradiating light from a light source of the moving body; scanning the light irradiated from the light source with an angle range that is formed by swing a mirror portion of an optical scanner of the moving body; acquiring change information of the angle range at which the mirror portion swings; changing the angle range at which the mirror portion swings based on the acquired change information; and changing an irradiation range of the light irradiated from the light source.

A light projection device for a moving body is provided on the moving body and includes: a light source for irradiating light; an optical scanner which has a mirror portion for reflecting the light irradiated from the light source and a drive source for swinging the mirror portion, and scans the light irradiated from the light source; and a control portion which controls to acquire change information of an angle range at which the mirror portion swings, change the angle range at which the mirror portion swings by controlling the drive source based on the acquired change information, and change an irradiation range of the light irradiated from the light source.

Light projection device for a moving body having an optical scanner and control portion controlling a mirror portion

A projection device is provided, which is capable of suppressing or preventing problems that result from a light emission delay of a light source. The projection device includes a plurality of light sources respectively emitting a laser light; a scanning part enabling the laser light to scan; and a controller controlling an output of the laser light. In a scanning range including a first scanning range and a second scanning range, the controller controls such that the output has a first light amount in the first scanning range and has a second light amount which is greater than the first light amount in the second scanning range.

Also, whether the difference between the &#x3b2; value of high output and the &#x3b2; value of lower output is equal to or more than the predetermined value (0.18) or not is judged.

Optical disk recording device and optical disk recording method

An optical disc device includes an optical pickup that causes a laser beam to be incident on an optical disc and detects a reflected beam, an A/D converter that converts into a digital signal a plurality of analog signals obtained from the reflected beam detected by the optical pickup, an error signal generating circuit that generates a servo signal for the optical pickup based on the digital signal converted by the A/D converter, a low-pass filter that removes noise of a specific band included in the servo error signal generated by the error signal generating circuit, a main processor that switches a noise removal band of the low-pass filter based on states of the optical disc, and an actuator that performs servo control for the optical pickup based on the servo error signal from which the noise has been removed by the low-pass filter.

Optical disk device

An optical disc apparatus includes an optical pickup that emits light to an optical disc and receives reflection light reflected by the optical disc, a temperature sensor for detecting ambient temperature of the optical pickup, a temperature control processing portion that performs a process corresponding to temperature information obtained by the temperature sensor, and a filter portion that performs filtering of a signal about the temperature information during a period until the temperature information detected by the temperature sensor is input to the temperature control processing portion.

An aberration correction apparatus comprising a liquid crystal device which includes a first electrode layer that is formed with regions divided concentrically, a second electrode layer that is formed with regions divided concentrically, and a liquid crystal that is sandwiched in between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and which transmits an incident light beam therethrough, an objective lens which condenses the light beam transmitted through the liquid crystal device, and a liquid-crystal-device drive circuit which drives the liquid crystal device, wherein the liquid-crystal-device drive circuit impresses a potential which belongs to a predetermined region included in a liquid crystal characteristic that is a relationship between potentials impressed on the respective electrode layers sandwiching in the liquid crystal therebetween and a phase change magnitude of the light beam transmitted through the liquid crystal, on the concentric regions formed in the first electrode layer, and it impresses a potential which belongs to a region included in the liquid crystal characteristic and exhibiting a smaller phase change magnitude per unit drive voltage than in the predetermined region, on the concentric regions formed in the second electrode layer, whereby an aberration of the light beam is corrected.

Aberration correction apparatus

The whole reflection signal and a tracking error signal are detected while an objective lens is being moved in the radial direction of an optical disk, and the temporal difference between a time at which the value of the whole reflection signal becomes a maximum and a time at which the value of the tracking error signal becomes zero is detected in a predetermined time period. In addition, a value which is obtained by dividing the temporal difference by the time period of one cycle of the tracking error signal is acquired as a tilt appearance magnitude. Relational information in which a tilt appearance magnitude and a tilt correction magnitude corresponding to the tilt appearance magnitude are associated is read out, and the relational information read out and the current tilt appearance magnitude detected by a tilt-appearance-magnitude detection circuit are compared, thereby to determine the tilt correction magnitude necessary for a tilt correction. The tilt correction magnitude is notified to a tilt correction circuit, and is used in making the tilt correction.

Optical disk apparatus

A liquid crystal element for correcting wave aberration included in an optical disc apparatus, is controlled by a liquid crystal element control unit which has a memory portion that stores information about a variation with time of orientation direction of liquid crystal in the case where a voltage is applied to the liquid crystal, with respect to at least one type of voltage value. The liquid crystal element control unit has a drive voltage deciding portion that obtains time period after a predetermined drive voltage is applied to the liquid crystal element until a reproduced signal obtained by processing an electric signal converted by the light detecting unit becomes optimal, and decides a drive voltage to be applied to the liquid crystal element based on the obtained time period, the information stored in the memory portion, and the predetermined drive voltage.

An optical disk apparatus having an aberration correcting unit for correcting aberrations generated on the recording surface of an optical disk based on received correcting signals, a servo signal generating unit for generating servo signals based on the reflection lights from the optical disk and predefined parameters, and a birefringence detecting unit that detects the degrees of birefringent portions on the recording surface based on received the servo signals and generates the correcting signals for correcting aberrations according to the detected degrees of the birefringent portions and outputs the correcting signals.
