Provided is a steering assist apparatus configured to perform a steering assist control for changing a steering angle of a vehicle in such a manner that the vehicle moves along a target path; determine whether a newly-detected object is a stationary object or a moving object; cancel the steering assist control and inform a driver that the steering assist control is cancelled when the newly-detected object is the stationary object and a cancel condition is satisfied; pause the steering assist control and inform the driver that the steering assist control is paused when the newly-detected object is the moving object and a pause condition is satisfied; and resume the steering assist control when a resume condition is satisfied.

Parking assist apparatus

A driving assistance device that provides assistance to a vehicle including a sensor, collecting peripheral information, includes a detection unit that detects an obstacle and a parking area at a vehicle periphery; a road width calculation unit that calculates an area between first and second boundary lines as a road width; a route calculation unit that calculates a movement route through the area and the parking area to a target position; and a movement control unit that moves the vehicle along the movement route; where when a second obstacle is detected on the inside of the first and second boundary lines and on the second boundary line side with respect to the vehicle, and the second obstacle is continuously detected when the vehicle reaches a predetermined timing, an area between a third boundary line extending in the predetermined direction and the first boundary line is detected as new road width.

Driving assistance device and vehicle

A driving assistance device provides driving assistance to a vehicle including a sensor that collects peripheral information according an instruction from a terminal of a user of the vehicle, the device including: a route calculation unit that calculates a movement route of the vehicle to a target position based on the peripheral information; a detection unit that detects an obstacle at a periphery of the vehicle moving through the movement route based on the peripheral information; and a movement control unit that moves the vehicle along the movement route; where the movement control unit temporarily interrupts the driving assistance and waits until the obstacle moves from a position that hinders the movement when the obstacle is detected at a position hindering the movement of the vehicle on the movement route and a length of the movement route shortened by the obstacle is longer than or equal to a predetermined distance.

A remote parking apparatus executes a remote parking control to park the own vehicle in a designated parking space by controlling operations of the driving apparatus and the braking apparatus in response to commands from outside of the own vehicle. The remote parking apparatus executes a braking-drive process to apply the braking force to the own vehicle by the braking apparatus and apply the driving force to the own vehicle by the driving apparatus before starting to move the own vehicle by the remote parking control. The remote parking apparatus starts to move the own vehicle by the remote parking control on the condition that the own vehicle is maintained stopped until a predetermined time elapses from starting the braking-drive process.

Remote parking apparatus

A remote movement system of the invention comprises an operation terminal and a vehicle electronic control unit. The operation terminal includes a touch sensing portion which senses a finger of a user touching the touch sensing portion and a terminal electronic control unit configured to transmit a control execution command for requesting an execution of a remote movement control to cause a vehicle to move to a target position when movement of the user's finger touching the touch sensing portion satisfies a predetermined touch interaction condition. The vehicle electronic control unit is provided in the vehicle and configured to execute the remote movement control in response to receiving the control execution command from the terminal electronic control unit. The predetermined touch interaction condition does not include a condition that the user's finger moves, touching the touch sensing portion along a predetermined specific path.

A steering assist apparatus is configured to, when performing a steering assist control for parking, perform one or both of the following processes (a) and (b): (a) a first setting process for setting a movement path when an oncoming lane is present, the first setting process being a process for setting the movement path in such a manner that a vehicle body does not enter the oncoming lane side from an own lane across a center line or a predetermined line obtained by translating the center line; and (b) a second setting process for setting the movement path when a following vehicle is present, the second setting process being a process for setting the movement path in such a manner that a distance between the vehicle body and a parking-possible region is less than a predetermined threshold.

Steering assist apparatus

An automatic parking device includes a vehicle control unit configured to control a speed, steering of the vehicle, and a shift range of a transmission of the vehicle in order to park the vehicle, a reception unit configured to receive a driving operation by a driver of the vehicle during the automatic parking by the vehicle control unit, and a determination unit configured to determine whether or not the driving operation received by the reception unit satisfies a predetermined override condition. The vehicle control unit stops the vehicle and sets the shift range of the transmission of the vehicle to a non-drive range in a case where it is determined by the determination unit that the driving operation satisfies the override condition.

Automatic parking device

A parking assist apparatus is configured to execute parking assist control including steering angle automatic control, driving force automatic control and braking force automatic control, the parking assist apparatus being programmed to notify an occupant of an operation request requesting a driving operation of the vehicle to be performed for the parking assist control; and terminate the parking assist control and notify the occupant that the parking assist control is terminated when the driving operation corresponding to the operation request has not been performed by the occupant within a predetermined period.

A vehicle control apparatus including an assisting device for performing a parking assist operation and a controlling device for performing a first control operation that controls charging an electric power storage by using an output of an engine if an amount of the stored electric power is smaller than a first threshold value. The controlling device performs a second control operation for putting the engine into a stopping state before a moving start time at which the vehicle starts to move after an assist start time and forbidding the engine from being started after the moving start time if the amount of the stored electric power at a timing before the moving start time is larger than a second threshold value.

Vehicle control apparatus

A parking assist device includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: perform parking assist of a vehicle to automatically park the vehicle at a target position while restricting a vehicle speed to an upper limit or lower in accordance with an instruction of a user who is outside the vehicle; determine whether or not the vehicle moves on a road surface having a downhill grade along a travelling direction of the vehicle by the parking assist; and set the upper limit in the case where the vehicle is determined to move on the road surface having a downhill grade to be smaller than the upper limit in the case where the vehicle is not determined to move on the road surface having a downhill grade.

A vehicle controller configured to control a vehicle which includes a transmission gear includes at least one electronic control unit. The at least one electronic control unit is configured to: determine whether a shift range of the transmission gear is switched such that the vehicle travels in a changed traveling direction not based on a shift range switching operation by an occupant of the vehicle; and limit, when it is determined that the shift range is switched such that the vehicle travels in the changed traveling direction not based on the shift range switching operation, a driving force of the vehicle such that the driving force of the vehicle is smaller than when it is determined that the shift range is not switched such that the vehicle travels in the changed traveling direction not based on the shift range switching operation.

A decelerating factor estimating device configured to estimate a decelerating factor of a vehicle includes a drive force acquiring unit configured to acquire a drive force of the vehicle; a vehicle speed acquiring unit configured to acquire a vehicle speed of the vehicle; an acceleration acquiring unit configured to acquire an acceleration of the vehicle; and a decelerating factor estimating unit configured to estimate a plurality of decelerating factors based on a relationship of the acquired drive force, speed, and acceleration, wherein the decelerating factor estimating unit determines a type of the decelerating factor to estimate based on a traveling state of the vehicle.

Decelerating factor estimating device

A deceleration factor estimation apparatus estimating a deceleration factor of a vehicle includes: a driving force acquisition unit that obtains a driving force of the vehicle; a speed acquisition unit that obtains a speed of the vehicle; an acceleration acquisition unit that obtains an acceleration of the vehicle; and a deceleration factor estimation unit that estimates a plurality of deceleration factors on the basis of a relationship between the obtained driving force, speed, and acceleration, wherein the deceleration factor estimation unit switches the deceleration factor to be estimated on the basis of a travel condition of the vehicle.
