Provided is an interdental cleaning tool which has a simple configuration and can effectively prevent an occurrence of breakage of a core base portion when inserting the interdental cleaning tool into an interdental space or during interdental cleaning without reducing productivity of the interdental cleaning tool, and provided is a method for manufacturing the interdental cleaning tool. An interdental cleaning tool () includes: a base portion () made of a synthetic resin; and a soft portion () made of an elastomer, the base portion () having a handle base portion () and a core base portion (), the soft portion () having at least a cleaning soft portion () that covers the core base portion (), in which a handle portion () as a grip is constituted by the handle base portion (), and a cleaning portion () for interdental cleaning is constituted by the core base portion () and the cleaning soft portion (), wherein two or more cleaning portion recesses () which penetrate the cleaning soft portion () and form core base portion recesses having a maximum depth d of 0.01 mm or more and 0.085 mm or less in the core base portion () are formed in each of a first side portion and a second side portion of the cleaning portion () at intervals in an axial direction of the cleaning portion ().

Interdental cleaning tool

Provided is an interdental cleaning tool which has a simple configuration and can effectively prevent an occurrence of breakage of a core base portion when inserting the interdental cleaning tool into an interdental space or during interdental cleaning without reducing productivity of the interdental cleaning tool. Provided is an interdental brush having a wire and filaments arranged therein by folding the wire and disposing the filaments between the wire and then twisting the wire. The interdental brush has improved filament retention and improved cleaning effectivity and reachability to minute portions. Each of filamentshas a polygonal cross section whose at least one corner portion has an interior angleas acute as 30 to 75 degrees. Specifically, an angle &#x3b8;of the acute corner portionis set at 1.2 to 3 times a twisting angle &#x3b8;of the wire.
