A suspension body for an elevator includes a core having a belt-like shape, and a covering layer. The core includes a load bearing layer. The load bearing layer is formed of an impregnation resin and a plurality of high-strength fibers. The covering layer covers at least a part of an outer periphery of the core. The plurality of high-strength fibers include a plurality of kinds of high-strength fibers.

Elevator, suspension body for the elevator, and manufacturing method for the suspension body

A suspension body for an elevator includes a core having a belt-like shape, and a covering layer covering at least a part of an outer periphery of the core. The core includes a load bearing layer. The load bearing layer is formed of an impregnation resin and a plurality of high-strength fibers. Further, the load bearing layer is divided into a plurality of segment layers arranged apart from each other in a thickness direction of the core. An intermediate layer made of a material different from that for the load bearing layer is interposed between the segment layers adjacent to each other in the thickness direction of the core.

An inspection method and an inspection apparatus capable of readily determining the necessity of replacement of a resin shock absorber at an elevator inspection location without using a car of a rated weight. First, an indenter is pressed into a resin shock absorber for an elevator. A load of pressing the indenter into the resin shock absorber is released. A physical property value indicative of a repulsive force that causes the indenter to bounce from the resin shock absorber by releasing the load is measured. The necessity of replacement of the resin shock absorber is determined by comparing a result of the physical property value obtained by measuring the repulsive force with a reference value prepared in advance.

Method and apparatus for inspecting resin shock absorber

A method for detecting degradation of resin film detects whether a resin coated rope having a circumferential portion coated with resin film has the resin film degraded. The method for detecting degradation of resin film includes: winding a wire on a circumferential portion of the resin coated rope; applying tension to the wire to compress the resin film in a radial direction of the resin coated rope; and comparing a first relationship with a second relationship to determine how the resin film is degraded, the first relationship indicating a relationship between the tension of the wire and how much amount the resin film has compressed, as obtained in the applying, the second relationship indicating a relationship between the tension of the wire and how much amount the resin film has compressed, as predetermined as a reference.

Method and apparatus for detecting degradation of resin film

An elevator rope including a rope main body; and a covering resin layer that covers the periphery of the rope main body and comprises a molded product of a composition which composition is produced by mixing a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, a thermoplastic resin other than the thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer and an isocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate groups per molecule; a rope main body impregnated with an impregnating solution comprising a hydroxy compound having two or more hydroxy groups per molecule and an isocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate groups per molecule and having a lower viscosity than a melt viscosity of the composition for forming the covering resin layer is used as the rope main body; the elevator rope has a stable friction coefficient that does not depend on temperature or sliding velocity.
